Stone cold classic, the GOAT double disc album. It was Pac fully embracing the Death Row image, stunting and celebrating that he was free again.

All of the features killed it, but Syke on "Picture Me Rolling" has to be one of the greatest features ever.

Loved the Bay Area connection on here as well, 4-Tay from the Bay :blessed:

Crazy how clean and fresh this album still sounds to this day, peak level hip hop.

Album is a classic. No double album can touch this. 2Pac was one of the greatest. He was the first rapper I truly listened to. He made me proud to black and not give a fukk what anyone thinks. Even to this day, you can see and feel the impact he has made.

REST IN PEACE

Yeah I never got the "filler" talk. The only song I dont fukk with is Whatz Your Phone Number. One thing I've learned over the years, every song on that mthafkka is somebody's favorite song. It's one of those kind of albums.Like a Hip Hop version of Thriller

300 murders a year
Still remember the day this shyt dropped, it's only been a few occasions when a album dropped and it took control and dominated the streets to the point if you at the bus stop every car riding past was playing this album. And this the 90s where the dope boys were still out here and cars with sounds was stills a thing. I remember getting out of school going to the 63rd St bus stop and literally every car that pass me, was playing this album. I said fukk this, walked from the bus stop to 63rd Halstead to try and buy this album and it was sold out at all stores unless you bought the bootleg and I didn't want the bootleg I wanted the real 2 tapes (back when a double album could be 2 tapes) so since I'm not going home anymore I go and catch up with my girl who at her friend's house I go to kick it over my girls friend's house and guess what album she got sitting on her dresser dam near new in the package? All eyez on me with the booklet and everything! I stole the 2 tapes and case due to it being so many people in the house I knew they wouldn't know who did it lol

Quik came through and killed this beat too! Beats aren't layered like this at all anymore

Quik on the beat

Richard Pryor on the chorus

Pac rapping like his life depended on this track

:mjcry:

Had the double CD as soon as school let out

shyt was in rotation with my cousins and friends I had to go on missions to get it back

The World, but from BK
I used to be addicted to this album years after it came out. When it came out in '96 I was too young to really grasp how dope it was and repped Cali, due to living in Brooklyn and not really ever leaving NY. Once I went away to school and met some dudes who were into west coast music, it was on...then I visited L.A. in 2001 and saw how it was out there, I was hooked on this album. Used to play "whatz ya phone number" in my hoopty anytime I would go check a chik.
