With what the nba is doing with the g league now in a few years this won't matter...

But a kid should be able to come out of high school if a team picks him...

Like...this whole one and done thing is strange to me...cause nobody is putting a gun to these GM's head and forcing them to take players not ready to play in the nba...

What we really need is a documentary on why we have so many rules to keep people who are supposed to be smart about basketball from making bad basketball decisions...

Yep. Bullshyt that players get punished because of GM's not being able to do the main thing their job requires of them.

Yeah...I mean there were a group of people who saw Anthony Bennet play and decided he should be a number 1 pick...

When that happens...the problem isn't the people getting decided on, it's the people making the decisions...

Exactly. They implement rules to save their own asses and still manage to take busts.

Actually there is...

Nobody wants to be the guy that passed up the next big thing, even if the next big thing is far from ready. The rule isn't in place just to save GM's. GM's can fukk up picking a 4 year senior if you let them, but the younger they are, the bigger crapshoot it is to project greatness. If you pass up that next great guy even if it's not all the way ready yet, guys lose jobs over that.

That's why I said let high school kids test the waters like college guys. Give the scouts a better look.

Sure, it's not perfect but if they can't get a good gauge on a player, tell him to go to college. Or tell him you have a spot for him in the G-League.

Bridges is a meh player as was Poythress. The fact that Poythress is in the league now, injury or not, is impressive to me, because was never a great pro prospect.

Poythress wouldn't have went undrafted had he left after his freshman season though.

Bridges could drop to the second round easy.
