25 here.
I realized that a lot of people struggle with their identity. People are so afraid of the future and worrying about not becoming something that when they get in a relationship or have children they finally feel important. For those next 18 years, those people have concrete evidence that they have a goal and responsibility of being a provider.
the crazy thing is that those people, and the culture in general, will make dudes feel irresponsible for not following that same path. It’s like how dare you spend your free time getting fukked up and doing whatever you want when you want when you should be settling down?
The average life expectancy is like 78 for a male. I see no problems with having a child in the late 30s and early 40s. Some of my best friends are parents are in the 60 plus range and they are all the same age as me. I realized they are also the most mature friends I have.
plus I’ll take that sacrifice of spending my 20s living a fun lifestyle
