31 at the end of the year. I'll keep it 100 - I do feel a sense of urgency. Not in a sense that I'll be old and flabby and sick therefore unable to get the dimes, dough, etc..

Of course not, I'm a healthy, not fat, smart black male.

But it's more like a "nut up or shut up" way of thinking. All of my insecurities, my hesitations, my indecisiveness, regrets.. They're gone. In my 20s, all that fukked with me heavily. I eradicated those thoughts.

I don't worry about failure in any endeavor anymore. My standards are sky high in relationships. I've dated a cute borderline personality disorder havin' chick for the last two years and I've learned that aiming low can get you killed. Literally.

I got fired from my auditing job of 5 years out of the blue last year. Entrepreneurship is my only option in my 30s. Can't be a wage slave.

Long story short (I'm drinking fat tire in a bar), our 30s must embody the word excellence to the god damn letter.

It's now or never, brehs. I look at my friends now, the ones I once envied..with the marriage and the kids... And I see them becoming a shell of themselves.

They burned out early. I know it can be a bytch sometimes to be 30 in this place, but that's just mostly social pressure and people telling us how we "should live."

In reality, We're free as FUKK. It's no time for a pity party like most 30 year olds, family.

Life is good. Some amazing things are definitely going to happen this decade.

Do you childless folks have any interest in having kids or feel any concern to having kids when you're "older"?

@Bless't
I of course do. I feel that twinge every time I see an adorable youngin. But I will not sacrifice my well being "just because". If it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen. I've seen plenty of ill fated mistakes transpire within my lifetime. Cautious is the word.

What I meant was even Gods son the Messiah entered his 30s single and childless , so I don't see what the big hoopla is in being that age and above and single and childless

I agree with you :yeshrug:

I am in this club and have no plans to have children. I'm fine either way. Having children actually freaks me out a little bit. Just so much added responsibility :damn:

Yeah maybe in the next year or two.

Is the childless life really all that it's cracked up to be? I wouldn't know since I was a young mum and all lol but I cant really imagine what i'd do with all my free time. I still get to travel..my pockets COULD be fatter but :yeshrug: i'd probably blow it all on food and travel anyways lol
