shyt i feel really bad for not voting for Run DMC in this whole thing but i gotta go with Tribe this time. Run DMC has a historic quality to me when i listen but i usually only listen to the classic songs not whole albums, it's before my time. i can play even the first Tribe album all the way through and enjoy it more. i respect every Run DMC did for the culture but ATCQ has made better music IMO

run dmc has 2 albums that are better than tribe's best. not to mention that they top tribe in practically every category imaginable.

2 totally different types of groups here...
Run DMC is one of the most important groups responsible for the advancement of Hip Hop into the mainstream...without them hip hop would have taken a back seat to punk rock for a few more years IMO....

Tribe was a dope ass group who took us back to our roots as an indigenous people tribal African native etc.
That's just a history lesson for those that don't know I'm 34 so I grew up with both...
And the reason I went with tribe is because that's what we need more of nowadays in my opinion...Run DMC kicked the door open they can't be denied no matter what Hip hop is on the radio because Run DMC but the radio is still reluctantant to play ATCQ

Ive never sat thru a dmc record so tribe takes it by default. And im sure most ppl here will concur.
