I grew up with some of the first anime to get big in the US that I was really into, I just can't watch it anymore. I've tried all the titles just not for me.

What did you expect? Dragon Ball Z's prime was was 20 years ago. You millennials crawled so Gen Z can fly when it comes to anime. Gen Z lives for no one's approval but their own and l respect that.

I feel like it's the inverse of a video game based off of a movie. Little to no confinement to real world logic so creative freedom can run wild. I guarantee that shyt gone go crazy once they start developing a hybrid style entertainment experience using branching dialogues and VR.

Just like inuyasha was so whipped that he let that dead ass bytch come around and fukk up plans so often you would think she worked for team rocket. I would've smashed once and rekilled her in at least 1 playthrough. Prolly all of them

Also, death note is top 5 all time and perfect for a live action adaptation.

Eh, people be doing way too much.

Used to hide it because folks would look at you weird if you spoke about it.

Now I hide it because people do weird shyt around it. Getting into shouting matches over their favorite female characters and shyt.

Forget a well told story with characters who grow and change like people should.

"Nah my waifu can beat your waifu. shyt, I spent my last paycheck on a figurine! You ain't got shyt ON ME!"

"You ain't gotta body pillow MFer. First edition, with her white wedding gown, biiitch."

They do this shyt online and in public now. Ugh.

Between fandoms bytching about animation, shipping characters together that have no chemistry, dropping spoilers on people who just started the anime, drooling over 2D titties (I mean LEGIT simping, like she gonna hop out the screen and hold their hand if they keep defending her honor or some shyt) , arguing about the dumbest shyt, etc. I stay away and keep it to myself unless someone else mentions it.

Some of the worse humans be in those places.
Facts

I fukk with some of it, but these young nikkas do be going OD with it.

Proudly screaming out their favorite anime characters like people give a shyt or like its a mating call and hoes be pandering to it to get white/asian nerds to follow them, etc.

So as usual, people go overboard. I look at it the same way I look at comics or Marvel movies

There was a time where mentioning anything other than DBZ was taboo. You'd be seen as a freak and a nerd. Then came the era of GTO, Ippo, FMA, Cowboy Bebop et al becoming the flavors for the mainstream anime fans. The enthusiasts were watching other stuff. Since then slowly anime became for everybody. I remember being embarrassed as fukk when my grandmother found my Samurai Champloo box set after i chilled in their house when they were on vacation. I had no way of not looking like an infant still watching cartoons at my age.

Lol

Yeah I liked it more when it was a bit more low key.

Anime is good. The genres are extremely varied. It’s not like all of them are similar to Gundam or DBZ.

Dork ass niccas.

FMA still fire, but these gen z clowns jumped off the dork ledge
rewatched Brotherhood in January. It's all-time great television

the kinda show i don't even box in the "anime" category. You can put it up against any kinda television show. That's how good it is :wow:

This is to be expected. Anime really popped with Millennials and it has gotten more mainstream since then.

It's the equivalent to what Hanna-Barbera/Looney toons, scooby doo, flinstones, wacky races etc. were for older generations.
