I wish anime was still raw like it was in the 80s-2000s. Nothing is really made for adults like Monster anymore. Damn sure aint nothing like Legend of the Overfiend.

Overfiend was like the "Tip Drill" or "Efil4zaggin" of anime, this new shyt is watered down like most everything else

My generation took the licks for these nikkas, I remember when nikkas had to hide their mangas in a binder.
I don't even enjoy anime anymore because there's so much, it seems like an overstimulation.
I remember when manga were released like western comics by Viz and Dark Horse. I think Marvel released some too really early on.
We called them Japanese comics back then. I don't remember seeing the word "manga"

I really really need to finish that series.

I have the first part of the ED stuck in my head months later.
The Artist did this song exclusively for the anime too, can't find it anywhere else :wow:

This

I liked anime because it was brutal or hilarious.

Now, you can’t go an episode without someone crying…

It’s like that in some live TV shows too though :mjlol:

I'm not surprised. One of the biggest strengths of anime is that they can tell all sort of stories, there is so much variety. Anyone is bound to find something they like. Meanwhile western animation remained focus on rhe kids demographics.

I still find it weird when people say they got bullied for watching Anime. Everyone I knew grew up watching that Friday night/Saturday morning anime block.

Not saying it didn't happen but you weren't getting clowned for liking Goku dem

Even late millennials to some degree.

I don't think anybody reaching to say they got bullied, growing up the homies were all into anime, japanese trading cards, beyblades etc.

But once high school days started you couldn't be around the bops talking about some Light Yagami or Hunter X Hunter.
You aint coming around the spot next time.

All that anime fanfare shyt was designated to Tumblr.

The numbers would be the same for millennials if you took into account how many of us were watching Pokémon Beyblade Dragon Ball Z Digimon

Got you, I probably got clowned behind my back :russ: but most of my guys were watching anime; guys who played football/basketball, regular degular average bros and the nerds.

I seen this video of Micheal B Jordan and Tim Charlemagne with some anime, these guys are conventionally cool. Pretty privilege, cool privilege or whatever we call it is real lol
