fukk it, nikkas acting like AI is clearly out of Nash's leagues...we can compare how they did against similar defenses in the playoffs because they BOTH got beat by San Antonio in 06-07 while both had "legit options" near the exact same age. Iverson was 31 and Nash was 32.
Iverson Stats In the 06-07 playoff series against the Spurs:
22.8 PPG (36% FG) / 5.8 AST / .6 REB / 1.4 STL in 44 minutes
Nash's STATS in the 06-07 playoff series against the Spurs:
21.3 PPG (48% FG) / 12.7 AST / 3.7 REB / .3 STLs in 38 minutes.
Melo and Amare (Who actually missed a game) were similar players who had similar stat lines. Iverson was one year younger than Nash. They both went against the same exact team with similar help around them and Basg straight up outperformed Iverson.
But we gonna ignore this and act like its a travesty to think that Nash and Iverson aren't comparable? To think that Prime Mash couldn't do what Iverson did if he wanted to score instead of be a playmaker?
