Unfortunately any tech or advance in science brings with it negativity and fear mongering. When trains were invented, there were some people who thought that if you rode them you would die because moving 40 miles per hour (GASP) would certainly suck the air out of a human's lungs and suffocate you. I'm guessing some of these people also thought the train companies were part of a diabolical conspiracy.
Why? If you want things to operate within a schedule, rerouting, increased speed and safety etc. And that's what I can think of off top. I mean asking someone what electricity could do in the late 19th century isn't a fair request. You don't know what innovation's possible til someone does it.
I never thought I would have a smart phone in my hand 20 years ago. A regular cellphone was great.
Oh I can alright. Just not one that we need now.
That sort of bandwidth is related to video. We don't need massive amounts of additional video over that geographic spread.
p.s. slow down on the assumptions about what people know or don't know... The coli #666gang
is heavy in these tech discussion streets.
p.p.s. that sort of video surveillance on that scale hasn't been around since the 90's. plus pre. deep mind and other big data techniques we had no way to computationally interpret said data.
Unfortunately any tech or advance in science brings with it negativity and fear mongering.
various field techs who need to download multi-gigabyte firmware etc for use in seconds or minutes need that tech now. i know techs who've had to leave sites and find some library or public hotspot cause they didn't have 45 mins or 2 hours to wait on their 4G connection to download a file.
4g isn't fast enough, 5G allows for much greater speeds. there's no evidence that 5G which produces non-ionizing radiation is dangerous. you base the need for 5G on your wants and the limited possibilities you can conceive of it's use. 5G is gonna bring in some new competition for residential ISP's especially in rural areas stuck with shytty old satellite, DSL or dial-up. towers are usually already there for cell service, they can just add small cell site relays to lamp posts. and rural america can get high speed internet. The same will benifit 3rd world countries who will leap frog from not having fiber to the home to having wireless internet. it's costly to get permits and land rights to dig up dirt and bury fiber mile after mile. theres some serious cost savings with this tech.every carrier will soon offer 5G internet service for home use within 5 years. can't wait for those price wars.![]()
So business to business limited coverage. I think I did mention coverage.
the market will determine if 5G is what people want or not![]()
Repped98% of Thecoli posters-"If you are with Trump, you are a right wing nut job conspiracy theorist"
Some of you kats are looking funny in the light for supporting 5G
They’re being set on fire because 5G is a threat to the health of citizens. I know you idiots don’t like to read books and scientific articles so I’ll let y’all carry on
China's reign is just getting started. It has nothing to do with health effects they are burning it because China installed those towers.
China’s reign is over
as usual the theorists will gloss over stuff like this.......echo chambers galore for these basket cases. It's happening in countries without 5G but hey....why bother
