It was easier to be in shape back in the day because "junk food" wasn't a thing. Companies spend millions and billions of dollars using scientists to come up with artificially flavored food that appeals to our taste buds and brain receptors.

Old school people ate chicken, beans and greens. Maybe some peach cobbler on Sundays. Food had less hormones in it.

Having said that, I'd take a modern soldier over a WW2 soldier even with the same equipment. Saw a model of the "average" soldier back then. Those dudes were small. Probably more fit but even a couch potato today could man handle one of those dudes back then. Problem is that the old school dude could do a 10 mile hike in full gear with ease. Kids today... :flabbynsick:
Yall nikkas really in here pretending Coca-Cola and McDonald's were invented in the 90s or some shyt???? WTF??

This desire to cop please is an example of a mentally weaker generation

:mjlol: The average American can not beat a trained soldier. Go to Disney land that’s a sample size of the average American . Families from all over , different demographics , race , Financial backgrounds Most of them are stupid and out of shape . And short:mjlol:

idk where y’all got the idea that all Americans are massive specimens of the human body we are short and stumpy by average. Netherlands is the tallest country China population is 4X us they are short We are short besides the exceptions but they out number us .
Americans aren't short by global standards. Yes 5'9-5'10" is short because the Internet but a 5'10" dude dropped in many countries other than developed European countries is gonna feel how 6'1"-6'2" cats feel.

But I’m comparing generations, somebody said past generations were mentally physically stronger tougher and smarter but I’m not sure if that’s the case
I’m not arguing today’s military standard
You are comparing them :dead:

Even if you think this generation smarter and stronger
That means you are comparing them to other generations

And I’m sure that dude with zero athletic ability, self discipline issues, and aptitude issues can be corrected and turned into a warrior and Im sure the youth isn’t that much different from past generations
Again the gov can reverse this trend if they really saw this as an issue

The difference from past generations is that at least the individual was healthier/tougher physically/mentally (able to withstand more)

The government can’t really reverse the trend parents and people in general will need to recreate it. This is the new norm for first world places. Of course the warrior class won’t be warriors as more and more are removed away from warrior culture. And not just anyone can be trained to be a warrior. That warrior class is a sub class it’s self within military service. We can’t even get the majority of people whom should be qualified to join in the door because of the new genesis health system.

Basically all of these youth issues that used to be able to be hidden/concealed are now no longer able to be hidden.
But I’m comparing generations, somebody said past generations were mentally physically stronger tougher and smarter but I’m not sure if that’s the case

I can admit that the entry Level service member of today is definitely not as capable physically or morally compared to even my generation of recruit 2000. These youth are definitely smarter technology wise. But what happens when The technological environment is highly contested and we can’t utilize those gadgets and you need to go stand eye to eye against the enemy.

Yes there's tons of useless ass majors that don't pay and even the quality of the students reflect the positions that they get accepted for in the Job market.
This is ridiculous but I'm not shocked. American society told kids it's OK to be subpar, pick your pronoun for the day, everybody gets a trophy, and if shyt gets tough claim mental health. These kids were made to be weak as hell. This is just part of the consequences.
And someone will target them for ways to capitalize. They got this online company called better health that treats depression online by zoom or teams. No matter how weak you are someone is gonna try to capitalize off you, run to the government for funds.

Honestly no matter how a person feels about themselves someone is there to talk to, mass shooters online forming on Reddit to kill innocent people. This is how the world is now

Doesn't matter.

If Uncle Sam needed to, they'd draft all the the big people to a weight loss camp 1st before sending them out to basic training.
This is very true. If it’s absolutely necessary they will pay for a fitness program or implement a program for them to cut weight quickly. I know a few gents that will help you melt 10+ lbs within a few weeks…
