There’s rumors that Elon is about to default on his first billion dollar payment which would put Twitter in bankruptcy :pachaha:
They also stopped paying rent for one property and are facing eviction
And stopped paying for cleaning services at hq so they said it’s funky musty and dirty there now :mjlol:

who cares if he was right.

dudes are taking home billions while cutting jobs to "save money"

we can take on a business perspective and talk about how positive it is because productivity didn't decline and the app is largely unaffected but why should we? I'd rather take a purely human perspective instead and say i don't care how inefficient all those workers were. Try to empathize less with the one percent and corporations. If they can take home billions they can definitely afford to pay inefficient workers and keep them on payroll. we can't always be holding the shytty end of the stick in society when it comes to playing fair. As much as I respect efficiency and cost saving I don't respect the ridiculous pays CEO take home while putting it on regular people to lose their income in a bid to streamline spending and profits. This has become a weaponized way of retooling businesses and it would be just as logical to cut the pay and bonus for the highest positions and make this a wave going forward.
