Has their ever been a breakdown on which Twitter employees got laid off? I would think the vast majority of people still there are technical people keeping the app running.

If he's no longer paying the bills or cleaning the damn building. You can probably get rid of a gang of folks and still operate. But how long before these technical people who keep the lights on get burned out and quit?

How so? The website and the app load up just fine. People on thecoli post tweets all the time and they load up just fine

search was broken for over a week with tweets out of chronological order and he removed the "latest" search function to before putting it back.

search is still broken because sometimes to have to refresh the page to get any results.

Because that isn't the only measure of a successful business you retard.

Their ad revenue is now. There was recently a significant security breach. They're struggling to comply with regulations. These things happen when you cut back on the client services team, data security team and legal department.

Furthermore, the site wouldn't just stop running out of the blue. The issues will come about when updates are applied and there are no longer enough hands on deck to deal with the defects introduced.

Apps don’t really need that many employees unless they’re attached to the state for control/monitoring interactions. Half of those working for Twitter in the past are part of government agencies.

TikTok doesn’t have that many employees yet it works pretty fine.

Not even a fan of Elon but if you can cut unnecessary overhead cost to run a business & still make it work just fine - it’s a no-brainer. It’s a business - not a charity organisation. And he has eliminated a lot of the bots & that’s a good thing.

Y'all complain about the CEOs making too much money, and the workers being paid inferior wages, but miss all of the excess fat in middle management.. Too many meaningless jobs in companies these days
The Coli is pro-meaningless job.
