Im saying if he compared 300 square miles of the bay to 300 square miles of nyc then the bay is more densely populated
But that wouldn't work because you're comparing a metropolitan area to a city. The apt comparison would be one between the New York and San Francisco metropolitan areas.

Edit: Are you just comparing the square miles? If so, then I can see your point.

Yea cause end of day the square miles is the only thing that matters. Not the title “city”

it included that route in the article. Still #5

you're comparing 5 burroughs of land mass to individual cities. non sense.

California areas, per mile are dense than new york areas per mile

deal with it :umad:
Fam, what are you talking about? A borough is literally just a region of a city :deadrose:.

nikkas were talking LA and San Fran versus New York City. But even if you expand past that, the state of California isn't even a top 10 most densely populated state. New Jersey is the most densely populated state in the US, followed by a bunch of east coast states.

Your articles are literally considering the entire area within the New York City metropolitan area which includes New Jersey and Connecticut commuters. You are literally adding whole states :deadrose: And you don't realize how ridiculous your boroughs argument is - it works the other way. If New York City is made up of 5 huge boroughs and is still the most densely populated city, what does that say about how many people are fitting into a small place?

Los Angeles isn't even top 10.

  1. New York, N.Y.: 27,012.4
  2. San Francisco, Calif.: 17,179.2
  3. Jersey City, N.J.: 16,736.6
  4. Boston, Mass.: 12,792.7
  5. Santa Ana, Calif.: 11,900.8
  6. Chicago, Ill.: 11,841.8
  7. Newark, N.J.: 11,458.3
  8. Philadelphia, Pa.: 11,379.5
  9. Miami, Fla.: 11,135.9
  10. Hialeah, Fla.: 10,474.2

Los Angeles isn't even in the top 20 most densely populated places in California letting alone compared to fukking East Coast cities :deadrose:

Did New York get hit with the Italy strain or what? This is horrible :mjcry:

Poor planning by Cuomo and De Blasio. The Mayor and his cabinet downplayed it, told people to go out:

The health director was in Chinatown celebrating the Lunar New Year and he got the virus shortly after. People want to praise Cuomo for his handling of it because the media is centered in NYC, yet we account for the majority of deaths in the country. I can go on and on, but BdB and Cuomo were Rs, there would be calls for them to step down.

Cuomo, who runs the MTA, rolled back service instead of keeping it at a normal schedule. The trains are still packed because of it allowing the virus to travel from person to person.

It's been one big fukk up from Albany to City Hall.

NYC has dirty subway's and buses that aren't cleaned on a regular basis. A few weeks ago before it got terribad, MTA was bragging that they clean the subways once every 2-days. Most of these subway trains are jam packed full of people. NYC residents are probably the highest per capita residents who rely on public transportation compared to other American cities. That's probably why NYC got hit harder than places like LA.
New York's subway is way, way dirtier than you think

EDIT:
Yep, the subway had far more bacteria than any of the other cities combined. In fact, the subway's handrails had 900x more germs than an airplane table. Touching one is equivalent to shaking hands with 10,000 people.

New York seems to be against the idea of shutting no matter the cost until it’s too late. With all the empty streets NYC and Uber should have worked a deal to transport essential workers and charge them metro card money for the ride

Because the cost is heavy. The tax revenue that they've lost in a few weeks has rippling effects throughout the state. Cuomo basically said we're broke. They cancelled Summer Youth this year. We're going to really pay for it when things open up. You thought NY was a high tax state before? :francis:
