Summerslam was the second biggest PLE behind Wrestlemania. Royal Rumble ascension in recent years left it in third. With this being the first two night Summerslam, it should help it get back to its place at #2.

There are plans for a two night Rumble after the Saudi Rumble.

I always thought the Rumble was the second-biggest event of the year because it directly impacted WrestleMania. That playoff analogy makes no sense because they give Rumble spots to everyone and Mania spots to everyone. If this was twenty years ago, I would agree.

And they sure as hell don't need to make it two nights. It's bad enough SummerSlam is two nights. Eventually, it will get to the point where there's nothing unique about WrestleMania if all the other big shows are treated with equal importance.
