I don’t know what everyone expected. Defense is difficult. He uses his long arms to make deflections in passing lanes and does well enough to stay in front of his man. He’s just matched up against great wings every night. Nobody stops those guys.

Like this might not even still be a series if that dumb ass Thibs subbed in Hart and Brunson with more time on the clock. I saw the end game and once again the coaching is BAD cause Thibs own coaching means that there are five guys alone on this team who aren’t rusty right now and who should finish games.

When healthy I can count on less than one hand when he wasn’t played the starters in the last 5 minutes of a game and then Thibs does this in a close out game at home in the playoffs.

He’s not the coach for this team.

Outside of Cade, the pistons don’t have a player that would crack the Knicks starting lineup. Stewart is an 7th or 8th man in this team. Talent wise, this Knicks team has no business being in this series. This team isn’t used properly at all.

We’re good enough to have swept this Detroit team but this isn’t an all in roster. We knew coming into the season this team would need a free agency cycle or two to really complete it.

with how the cap works now, how exactly are the Knicks going to use FA to improve their roster the next couple seasons? if anything, you might be having to decide whether you can even afford Bridges next summer at his asking price (and thats after trading 5 1st round picks). I think youre underrating the Pistons here and overvaluing the Knicks

In my opinion? This team isn’t well coached on offense. For as great as Brunson is, we still live and die by him. And at the end of the day, he works way too hard to get shots up sometimes. It’s a flawed recipe for success. We don’t do a good job of breaking the pistons defense down as a unit. We just set up opportunities to do it in iso situations. Our best stretches and runs in this series were when all 5 guys were involved and getting looks. We divert from that too much.
