Mox and Darby got me thinking again.
Are they doing their version of the Jun Kasai/El Desperado master/student rivalry/love story?
El Desperado and Jun Kasai will bleed for each other for one last time and we'll be there screaming, gasping, and laughing with every hit.

Mox kissed Darby in this match

and it's not a coincidence I don't think. He said stuff like "it's only you" - he sees himself in Darby, more than any other (AEW/American) wrestler of his generation he has the commitment to die for what he wants to do whether it's in the ring or on the side of Everest. That's what Jun saw in Despy that he wanted to mould into something positive.
They've had a slow burn angle since 2019, every match Darby has got closer but he can't conquer. Maybe it takes one more match, maybe it takes an oddessey through hardcore stipulations and gruesome rites of passage... but Darby will conquer and Mox will be ecstatic... it'll end in bloody tears and hugs.
