This was a solid PPV from AEW that probably got elevated by some cause Wrestlepolooza had fukkery surronding it.

I thought MJF and Mark was the best match. Stat winning was a little surprising but lets where they go with it. Hangman and Fletch was solid but not spectacular. It was better booked than his match with Max so maybe that was Maxisms at work.

The Deathriders idk whats going on with that, it kinda should have ended at All In. Yeah they're better but like..it feels like Tony is pushing on with the orignal plan just without the belt

Mox and Darby got me thinking again.

Are they doing their version of the Jun Kasai/El Desperado master/student rivalry/love story?

Mox kissed Darby in this match :dame: and it's not a coincidence I don't think. He said stuff like "it's only you" - he sees himself in Darby, more than any other (AEW/American) wrestler of his generation he has the commitment to die for what he wants to do whether it's in the ring or on the side of Everest. That's what Jun saw in Despy that he wanted to mould into something positive.

They've had a slow burn angle since 2019, every match Darby has got closer but he can't conquer. Maybe it takes one more match, maybe it takes an oddessey through hardcore stipulations and gruesome rites of passage... but Darby will conquer and Mox will be ecstatic... it'll end in bloody tears and hugs.

Dont feel like Stat is hot enough for this title change rn.

Feels just like when she went over Jade and wasn’t ready.

Yeah, I'm kinda here - not like she hasn't been visible but only really skirting the edges of the angles with Wheeler/DR and Willow. Felt like it needed a couple of segments or a finish that cemented her in the DR.

I guess they wanted to give the show a surprise... hopefully they give the reign its storyline on TV. :manny:

My view of AEW is they are playing with house money and nearly every show is :blessed: to every era of wrestling globally. This is a silly theater kid artform after all. But when it rules, it rules. It just happens I was posting with the billionaire fukko putting these shows on in 2002 and it caters to all my wrassle desires.

Pro wrassle is what if the theater kids and the jock kids combined. From time to time it rules all across the globe.
