however you want to slice it, starks would've cooked them dudes. im not trying to induct him into the hall of fame or anything.

ewing would destroy the heat. hes like roy hibbert X3.
:rudy: just like John Starks showed against all those elite teams in his career right?

You dudes overrate the 90s like crazy out here. The only thing John Starks is going to be cooking is that side of that rim with how many times the ball is going to bounce back out for a Miami fast break.

Ewing would get his, but LeBron would make it look easy against these guys. Oakley is not going to guard LeBron...who is? Charles Smith? Anthony Mason?

Maybe Hubert Davis? :upsetfavre:

FOH with this BS.

LeBron would destroy Penny. Hell, a healthy Dwayne Wade would stop Penny

Penny's "prime" is probably the most overrated stretch I have ever witnessed for a basketball player...RIDICULOUS

Wade ain't seeing Penny in his prime. Dude was cooking a prime Scottie Pippen with ease. He had better handles and post up game than both Lebron and Wade.

That Orlando team was too young. While they had the talent, they wasn't ready for this level of competitiveness. With that said, no comment on the OP original question.

90's players are extremely overrated on here. I am convince either these nikkas are retarded or they just suck MJ peen so much that saying delusional stuff like this is just normal to them.

I don't think anyone here thinks these Heat are as good as the Chicago Bulls of the 90's but they do think they would be easily one of the best teams and would be right there with Chicago especially when you factor how Bron steps up in the playoffs.

i'll say this tho: somebody made a great point about '95 Orlando being young. I honestly didn't take that into consideration.

i'll still rock with Orlando tho.

honestly, if you put Miami in the '95 nba, this series might not even go down. I wouldn't be surprised if Miami gets knocked off by somebody like new York in the 2nd round.

Miami owns this era, but theyre a quality impact goon away from being compared to a lot of the legendary '80s & '90s teams.
Sorry breh but no way in hell NYK of the 90's is fukking with the Heat at all. Not even. Not even. Miami would just zone their ass to death and Lebron would rape New York to an extreme degree. NY would get swept by Miami. They match-up poorly v. Miami and the zone hurts NY a lot.

john starks would've "cooked" them? john starks? :dead:

that knicks team wouldn't beat the heat. miami would lock them the fukk up. they weren't a good passing team, they weren't a good 3 point shooting team, the only guy that could made anything happen off the dribble was john starks (and if miami could contain rose and parker...). apart from ewing they'd have nothing to offer offensively. i'm sure the heat would have a tough time with the knicks' defense too but they'd be able to score enough to win games.

it'd probably be an ugly series but miami would take it.

as far the the magic, i dunno man. anytime i think of shaq going up against this heat team, all i see is pure destruction. he'd kill everyone in the post, he'd grab a ton of offensive boards, find open shooters when doubled/tripled, intimidate defensively - he's miami's nightmare. plus they have goggles, penny and some shooters...

miami causes them a lot of problems too (mainly lebron) but i can see the magic winning if they keep their heads on straight. :manny:

you never even attempt to have any reasoning for any argument you ever make. it's always just "blah blah blah...cuz i say so", then you follow it up with some sort of retarded diatribe.

this is no different.

if Bron could consistently sink his jumper I'd take Heat. I think Shaq would literally eat Battier though :lolbron:

Penny Hardaway Greatest Games: 39 Points vs Chicago Bulls (1995) - YouTube

Penny was far from overrated. He could do everything.Score...pass...post up.

He'd be one of the last players I'd call overrated.Maybe his legend gets a lil overblown, but his actual basketball skills can't be denied. His overall game was beautiful nh.One of the best combinations of modern day athleticism/fundamentally sound/crafty/ingenious skills ever manifested in a player. The slickness, the smarts, the versatility:ooh:

It's hard to explain. You had to be there. His game was just all around neatness.

If you know the game, you really appreciated Penny's skills before the injuries hit.

I have a uncle who coached basketball for 35 years at the high school/AAU level.

There's only 3 players he told me to watch and study growing up.

one was Pistol Pete...he bought me this whole series

Michael Jordan

And Penny Hardaway.

In fact, he called me back in '95...long distance....just to tell me

"There's this new boy out there that I want you to watch.Really Look at his game and study it, man.Watch the way he set his man up off the dribble and how strong he is with both hands. You see that move he pulled against Starks? You see how he was able to finish? That's strength, man...you gotta get stronger" :ohhh:

Even basketball purist loved Penny's game.He was a bad boy when healthy
