Popeyes down the street from one of my company's warehouses don't do online orders. I get itI've seen Popeyes do it to me before through Doordash even when they were obviously open, so it can definitely be done. For whatever reason, a lot of restaurants just choose not to use it.
Are these jobs for teenagers or are people too lazy to work? Coli Capitalists still can't answer this.
And if it's the latter, who's lazy? The adults that have no business working these jobs or the teenagers who have no need to care because they know they won't be there in a few years?
As a 23 year old some think that, but quietly a lot of us realized we've been had/lied to by Gen X/Boomers, and marriage, kids, house and picket fence are probably not happening for the bulk majority of us so we refuse to spend our time doing shyt that doesn't either make us good money, or brings us fulfillment/joy. Problem is in the rat race that is Amerikkkan education we've largely lost track of the bolded and don't have any true passions as we gave them up very young. In a traditional sense there are only few traditional job sectors that pay well, and you know early on if you intellectually inclined for them or not, of you're in the in between, you just want your own space, own car, and enough to eat out and maybe travel.
Deep down we all know the world (particularly Amerikkka) is headed into fukkery so we don't really care to reproduce or build anything/leave a legacy. We are disillusioned, and uninspired and the more intellectually inclined of us know if we're having a shyt time our potentially kids would be exponentially screwed
All that in mind, the last thing we'd do is those bs jobs that are neither fulfilling, nor pay shyt, unless you're high out of your mind.
I make good money doing independent contracting in hospitality but I still get regularly high because the jobs are often mundane, and the people are always WOAT
Write out all your monthly expenses you pay and ill show you how dumb that post issince when have wages ever been disconnected from the cost of living? I suppose the lower cost of living in the south have no correlation to wages there too right? why are you making assumptions about peoples positions if they support a living wage for all workers?

During school hours, these establishments (all retail not just food) are incredibly slow. They usually only need 1-2 staff members from open til when school is out.Why do y'all keep this 15-18 yr old narrative going?
Who is supposed to be staffing these establishments when the teenagers are at school?

When I worked at Jack in The Box(open 24 hours by the way), my first job at 15, my manager was a guy in his 40s, he had a female assistant manager in her 30s, 2 shift leaders (bums) around mid 20s, the rest of the staff was 15-18Are these jobs for teenagers or are people too lazy to work? You can’t personalize this… You may not notice but tens of millions of others would
The basic premise of UBI is to create an income floor for everyone wealthy and poor. The $1000 dollars will essentially mean everyone makes above the national poverty line. It will also eliminate welfare, SS, rent assistance in essence which is a net and has holes where people can slip through based on income and whatnot. My question is can you get both? Im asking because I'd quit a job if i can get $25 a month rental assistance, utility discounts, food programs, AND get UBI..
A lot of the h0es where I live teach their daughter and sons how to get welfare, so they'll have that shyt when they graduate.. It'll be a game changer if people can get UBI because everything else is already paid for.

Basically. It keeps everyone above the poverty line so in theory you should be able to freely do other things without worrying about basic life needs. But circumstances will still apply. Cost of living isn't the same across the board and If you make poor life decisions likechoose to have more kids than you can afford or spend it on vices you will still continue to struggle. But if you live within your means and find a nice comfortable job that makes you happy and gives you time to do other tasks than you should be fine. I was on unemployment before and I saw how it incentivizes you to not work or make above a certain amount or you lose it all. It's a treadmill of mediocrity. So UBI is basically a ground level income, and anything you need above that, you'll have to get on your own?
