:heh:

I hope you're not banking on that.

Im not 'banking' on that but its my guess. I dont think crabs will want the world. he realizes hes in a good situation with kaep and franchise poised to go deep into playoffs again and again

No, that's a terrible trade from your angle.

Not everyone is a big believer in picks.

I like having a lot of picks but i`ve seen teams have 10 picks and get shyt out of those 10.

Let's take a look at what #34 has produced over the last few years

2012 - Coby Fleener TE Indy
2011 - Aaron Williams DB Bills
2010 - Chris Cook DB Vikings
2009 - Patrick Chung S Patriots
2008 - Donnie Avery WR Rams
2007 - Paul Pozlusny LB Bills
2006 - Dqwll Jackson LB Browns
2005 - Brodney Pool S Browns
2004 - Chris Snee G Giants
2003 - Boss Bailey LB Lions

So out of 10 players, only 1 ever played in Pro Bowl, that being Chris Snee

I love having picks too, but I think at times they're over-valued.
thats utterly ridiculous way of thinking, 34 is just a number. also, dqwell jackson is one of the best MLBs in the game, and poz is quite good.

two second rounders is way too much for an average to slightly above average player like alex.

What was the other option for them? Lets be real?

You draft Geno Smith, say he sucks, well you just sunk 4 years of your franchise into the guy.

Don't you want to get better and win games? Alex Smith makes them better immediately.

I didn't say draft Geno Smith. There were better options than Alex fukking Smith though. :mjpls:

And either way, Chiefs fans hate this trade. They know what's about to happen... I wouldn't be surprised if Smith gets booed out of Arrowhead in the first game he loses.

Trent Green was much more highly thought of then Smith..The Rams were devestated when he went down the year they won the super bowl because they knew they had a really good young qb..

The Chiefs were the highest scoring team or one of for a few years with Trent..if they didnt also have the worst defense in the league they might have made a super bowl or two with him.

No he really wasn't.

He had a decent year in Washington with 23 tds to 11 picks with an 81 passer rating, he wasn't winning in Washington.

He stepped in for Warner the year before he came to KC and put up 16/5 in 8 games, Alex put up 13/5 in 8 games with SF this year and the Rams offense was much better.

Get fukking real, this is damn near the same situation

The Chiefs can still do that and have them hold a clipboard for a year....the old fashioned way.

Then next season have an open competition.

Trip you know this isn't that type of deal man. He's the guy..Reid LOVES him. Alex will probably take this team to somewhere like 6-10 to 9-7 at best. We won't have a shot at Teddy or a Mariota next year. We'll do good enough just to keep missing out on getting our guy.

It's the same cycle..That's why fans are livid like Tuc is saying. We've seen this the past 20 years..We know how this story ends.

Where does it say we got two 2nd rounders?

Dqwell is a good player, and i`m not trying to use those names as finite stats.

But the truth is a pick is an unknown, Smith is known. When your 2-14 and you got a new coach coming in who is a QB guy first, i`m sure he`d rather start off with a known QB who has had success the last 2 years

Would you prefer them vacate the position and just outright suck for the hope they land a QB through the draft? I see both sides. ALex Smith is bascially setting yourself up for a WC berth at best for the next three years. IDK..being average in sports is worse than being awful.

With the QB market getting smaller and smaller, it looks like Sanchez will be our starting quarterback again.

Also, the Chiefs has Bob Sutton as their defensive coordinator, that dude can't coach. Reid must think he getting Rex Ryan scheme. This Alex Smith trade is gonna be a big bust.

Really there was better options, what were they?

This QB draft class is trash and there are literally no good FA qb's.

You being a 49ers fan... of course you think this was good for them.

The Chiefs don't need to be good in 2013... they need to be gearing up for 2014. You go with a cheap stopgap QB like Hasselbeck or Henne (sad he's basically that now) or trade for a developmental QB like Mallett (who has upside) or even get Flynn. Why get someone you know the max potential of and that max potential could keep you from getting a great QB in 2014 yet won't lead to much more but a short return to relevancy with no SB aspirations?

So many ways to go about it... and the Chiefs did the same one they always do. :snoop:

:laff: :laff: :laff: @ this awful *ss trade for the Chiefs. Trade a high 2nd and absorb 9 mill hit on the cap for an average QB.

Oh sh*t :laff:

And you n*ggas parsing this as a win for KC on any level better hope no QB from this draft blows up, PARTICULARLY Geno Smith.

But then again, I'm getting the feeling the slights Geno getting during this draft process has some racial undertones to it. If he were white with the same skillset and resume, he's no doubt going #1 , IMO.

It was a soft schedule..That was when the NFC west wasn't as strong as it is now. But still Alex Smith never even put up those type of numbers.

D-Bowe probably leaves too..:to:

I feel bad for you homie. I got a lot of family up in KC (surprisingly a good bit of them on the Kansas side) and I know what you're going through with that. That's why I'm so disgusted with the trade.
