In Sauce We Trust!
Its true. My nephew is on Team USA. He’s 11. They just had two tournaments in South Carolina. In addition to paying for actually playing, all the hotels and transportation is out of the parents own pocket. Same goes for equipment. You have to invest the time and money to get a realistic return.Baseball has become a pay to play sport in the US unfortunately. These kids are being sent to expensive ass camps on travel teams, getting private lessons from former pro's, etc....Parents are forking over thousands a year to get their kids ahead. Unlike in basketball where AAU stuff is paid for my shoe companies so families don't feel the burden, baseball and soccer in the US is funded by the parents.
that being said, he plays the best kids in the world and throws a 70 mph fastball.
