Ace hood need to sit his ass down somewhere. This dude dropped albums at a time when people were still buying music and he still didn't blow.

Being able to rap and being a good hiphop artist are different things. Like all these freestylers that can't record a hot song can rap but they are not good artists. Some people can record songs but they are nothing special, they don't stand out in any way and that's where we have Ace Hood.
Khaled working serious overtime, Def Jam, Cash Money and all of these people spending cash is the only reason he ever was relevant.
You need to be able to stand out and/or resonate with a larger fanbase so that they really feel you, just look at any relevant artist through times.
I have a hard time seeing Ace Hood doing any of those things. He probably has a fanbase in Florida or something but I've never in my life heard anyone say "Have you heard that new Ace Hood?" Yet, everyone knows who he is.
Ace Hood dropped like 4 albums with khaled
Khaled been around forever, so why is that unbelievable ? You know he was DJing for Big Pun and shyt right ? Dude was a big DJ in Miami in the late 90s

I can't believe Lex Luger gave him basically the same beat twice on one album. Hustle Hard and Go & Get It sounded JUST ALIKE, even the hook had the same cadenceit reminded me of MC Hammer and BMF on Ross' album
as far as the freshman list he is currently the best.
I think he didnt blow because his image was unclear, no backstory and he looked like a 5-time allstar WNBA player
better than herb and David east?
What's his best mixtape? The latest one?as far as the freshman list he is currently the best.

Anderson Paak is obviously the best but he doesn't count, I don't even know why they put a 30 year old R&B dude who makes real shyt on the cover with a bunch of freaks.
Yea but he could just as well have been 15, according to his corniness and behavior. But I wasn't really reacting to his age, mostly that I didn't even know that Anderson Paak was labelled under rap. He had one or two "rap verses", where there really wasn't any rhyme structure or anything just a rap type of flow on his last album.Yelawolf was 31 on a cover that featured Diggy Simmons, Lil B and Lil Twist
Some of y'all speaking on shyt you don't know about lol. Hood has had hits on every album. Dude doesn't move units because he does not have creative control over his albums. That's why his mixtapes are better.
His albums follow the same formula as Khaled albums but that doesn't work with solo artists. Only a compilation DJ can get away with trying to make every song radio friendly hits.
The albums lack any real direction but again, it's not his call. Ace is better off solo. And some of y'all don't know just how many rappers took his cadence and ran with it. Khaled/We The Best have held him back from his potential.
