If you can be a professional tennis player at 18 then you can be a professional basketball player at 18 too.

I've been conflicted on this issue but at the end of the day, the responsibility is up to the teams to identify, select, and develop their players.
If some kid comes in at 18 and he sucks, well fukk it. He's just made a few million dollars. Go to college then if you want.
Ain't no age cap in tennis. You can play at 10 if you good enough.. I got ur point tho.

I didn't even listen to the interview and assumed the nba was considering going back to letting cats declare for the draft straight from high school :francis:

That's my bad

:salute: silver :myman:

A decent amount of top prospects are held back so they could still leave after the first year. KU has a freshman this year that will turn 20 before he plays his first game.

The rule doesn't work because players don't want to be there in the first place and coaching and brand of ball is so terrible so the players end up not learning anything anyways
And players wear being a "1 and done" like a badge of honor

And scouts value a kid being 19 in the draft over anything just so fans and coli nerds can be like he's only 23 even though he's has shown Know growth in 4 years but that's me on a tangent

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Imagine being a real bright scholar as a senior in high school. A company like IBM wants to pay you around $1 million year to work for them. Of course, you would be skipping college, cause what's the point of college if you already have a job lined up in the field you want to be in making an outrageous amount of money. Some will say, but what if doesn't work out at IBM. You tell them, well with the money I'll be making in my first few years, I can easily pay for college if IBM didn't work out and I wante to go back to school and get my degree. Now imagine the Tech industry making a rule that you MUST attend college or be a certain age before you can work for IBM or any other tech company. Even if those companies are willing to pay you and would hire you if you were on the market!

Now imagine you not understanding, and saying why? Imagine someone telling you it's to save you from yourself:mjlol: Even though for every person that went to the tech industry out of high school before you that had a bad experience, there is one that had a hall of fame tech career.

Imagine you saying, well I think that's stupid, I'm going to go overseas and make money in the tech industry. Now imagine the tech industry saying :whoa: that's a bad idea, it won't prepare you for the Tech industry over here. Even though your friends Brandon Jennings and Emanuel Mudiay didn't have an issue taking that route. They are not even known as that good in the tech industry, but they still making millions:mjpls: You think that's a success

Man fukk the one and done rule. I know the NBAPA don't give a fukk about that shyt, but they are the most likely ones with the power to get it changed if these owners and the league who are colluding with the NCAA don't wanna do shyt
sounds good but the alternative isn't going to be 2 and done :mjlol:

worst they do football and 3 and done :francis:

notice he said it's not good for EITHER.. so what would going back do? have MORE shytty players trying to come out while other still did one and done....

what's good for BOTH the nba and ncaa, would be players staying longer in college (more stars in the ncaa means more money for them). then better trained players and bigger known stars coming to the nba... that's where they'll lean towards more than just erasing it

THey should just do the baseball way. You can go pro if you want out of HS, but if you go to college you have to go for at least 3 years to be eligible for the draft.,

2 is better than 3, but 3 would be great for the NCAA, not NBA.

No they shouldn't

Players should come to the league whenever they want.

College basketball is not about preparing for the NBA. It's about winning college basketball games.
