Bullsht, 77% of our women do not bleach their skin. Damn near my entire family is Nigerian and I visit home pretty frequently. I've only seen a couple of sisters bleach their sht, not the majority, definitely not 8 out of 10 sisters on average like BBC are trying to suggest.

When you say this, do you mean that you have not noticed the skin to appear lighter on the women in question. Or do you know for fact that they do not use the products. I personally am not paying attention to the numbers but the issue itself. I was surprised when my coworker told me how much it goes on in Bangladesh and other SE Asia countries. Obviously the researchers probably have a biased sample...i doubt they went deep into the respective countries and the villages even but nonetheless to deny the problem not there (not in Nigeria but among Africans in general) is asinine. Even if its 10% that is way too much.
