These stats <<<<
Don't nobody believe that. Pulling percentages out the ass and shyt.
I dunno about the continent but I know in the WI some folks be so badly affected by the skin colour politics of their families they end up on that skin bleaching wave. Fade creams in abundance and allat.

Damn.......this shyt killed the whole thread
Ususally when bytches bleach their skin they look worse since they still retain the ugly features.....but she had cute features to begin with so the light skin is a clear improvement

.....at least the wig looks like how a woman's hair should lookare we really having a "majority" argument now?
Even if they're off, its still a HUGE problem in Nigeria and elsewhere in AFrica that goes back years.
New Straits Times - Google News Archive Search
The Nigerian government has long recognized it as a problem.
When you say this, do you mean that you have not noticed the skin to appear lighter on the women in question. Or do you know for fact that they do not use the products. I personally am not paying attention to the numbers but the issue itself. I was surprised when my coworker told me how much it goes on in Bangladesh and other SE Asia countries. Obviously the researchers probably have a biased sample...i doubt they went deep into the respective countries and the villages even but nonetheless to deny the problem not there (not in Nigeria but among Africans in general) is asinine. Even if its 10% that is way too much.
whats sad is that people will read this article and actually believe it
77%? GTFOH
I dont give a fck what that article says breh, the majority of our women do not bleach period, the majority of my friends/family/acquaintances back home do not bleach and im sure the majority of yours don't either. I just got of the phone with my moms, we were laughing hard as sht, this is bullsht sensationalism at its finest. These folk are really trying to say 8/10 of our women bleach lol, what a fcking joke.
In fact, @Don Drogo, @awkwardblackgirl how many Naijan sisters do yall know that bleach their skin?
True, but damn near every black nation harbors groups that bleach their skin or use some sort of chemical so they can adhere to European standards, im not trying to deny it or say its ok, my only issue is yall running with that 8/10 statistic and saying bleaching is a massive problem in Nigeria, it isnt.
Exactly, sht is sad.
b-b-but white women tan to look like black women.
