because they have been programmed to buy in the whole "am american" not African thing and considering AA background here in the U.S its a dam shame , africa has tons of potential right now with the right investments

I posted this in another thread, but I also think its relevant here.

I am not American, but I am African. The problem I have with non Africans commenting on African Americans and their history is that they completely whitewash your past. Its like your people mushroomed out of the ground and were taken on board the Jewish boats to be sold to WASP plantation owners.

It completely ignores your peoples history and culture whilst still in their ethnic homeland. Whilst other ethnic groups encourage their people to remember their history in the old homeland, African Americans dont. Except for more recent newcomers from the continent. The mick have saint patricks day and get all weepy eyed remembering the old sod. The jews have their history and defend Israel to the death. The Mexicans have cinqo de mayo and have nothing but loyalty and love for the place.

African Americans dont. Which is an awful pity as our homeland has a great and proud history. Its also one of the reasons why others have unity amongst their ranks, whist we dont.

new oil and gold was found, but guess who found them? A British company, and an Italian company:comeon:

and then you have China, and these Portuguese are moving back down to Angola

Hahaha. Its funny aint it. The right wing and conservative media in both Italy and the UK have a weekly article based on some impoverished African dude who went there, got residency and played the system. Recent example I can remember is some Afro-Italian dude who had three identities and claimed benefits under three different names.

Over a year or two, he swindled a couple of large. 10-15. The comment section lit up. It also regularly happens in the UK media with the Daily Mail and The Telegraph.

At the same time, there governments are stripping the working class natives of services, lowering benefits and raising taxes.

But they rehash these articles, whilst the rich rape both the working class.

Typical imperialists strategy and we all fall for it. White, black and everything inbetween. Divide and conquer.:shaq2:

Am just speaking out of family experiences in central america and other places, my aunt bought a apartment in a very similar apartment complex and the pre-build cost to own was $70k , post build was $100k, with only a couple of grand down, big difference of course with pre-build you have to wait a longer time many times anywhere from 2-5 years for your complex to be done so you can receive ur apartment where as with post build you get the key soon as the paperwork is done, also if you get a hold of a place early and it becomes a popular or well know spot property value goes up , great resale or rent value

If i was looking to invest in Africa right now i would look at Nigeria , try to get a hold of one of those apartment projects and invest now pre-build , them sell the apartment year or two after its done could probably double your money or a small club or bar like someone mentioned earlier them get into real estate , either way real estate is going to boom in these large cities, jus ask the Chinese

The bolded may be the biggest problem tbh. Our resources are a gift and a curse. Like look at these two links I found

New Oil discovery in Ivory Coast. - SkyscraperCity

More black gold discovery in Ghana - SkyscraperCity

It's annoying, I wish there was a way for Africans to kick these companies out unless they're benefiting in a major way(which they obviously aren't:no:)

Anti Chinese sentiment is on the rise in Africa.

It all comes down to competent government...That goes a LONG way.

And the whole Portuguese flocking to Angola is hilarious to me...Their country is so fukked they are fleeing to a African country.Europe is done.:heh:

Why cant African Americans return to their ethnic homeland and use the skills they picked up to better it? All the while learning about their ancestors culture?

Our people have been in Africa thousands of years longer than they were in North America or Western Europe.

To tell you the truth, it cause some of us are selfish. In my case, I didnt want to go back to Morocco till I got my US citizenship because as Information Systems auditor I would of got paid alot less than US or European citizen would get paid in Morocco. After I got my citizenship, I'll be truthful, I just got to akin to the American lifestyle, it literally spoiled the shyt out of me.

Its so true, we have all the resources, but don't produce anything, which is mind blowing.:dwillhuh: But alot Africans being educated overseas(myself included) get comfortable and refuse to change the status quo, and its an ongoing cycle.
