Its so true, we have all the resources, but don't produce anything, which is mind blowing.:dwillhuh: But alot Africans being educated overseas(myself included) get comfortable and refuse to change the status quo, and its an ongoing cycle.

I think the best way to do it is for us who are overseas to organize a company with some financial backing... get in front of the African Union somehow, and give them an offer they can't refuse:mjpls:

To do it we'd also have to feed the crooked politicians though :pachaha:

Also I think more African countries need to trade between themselves rather than trade outside of the continent, shyt is stupid. At least in sub-saharan(for lack of a better term) Africa, because most North African countries( think they are closer to white people, well Arabs) are not to be trusted, there as bad as white people.

i think these things are horrible, all that charity, aid type stuff needs to stop

Yeah, Ive read articles written by African economists stating that some types of aid do more harm than good in the long run, but I really dont see whats wrong with helping an impoverished kid receive an education. Especially if the charity involved doesnt have ulterior motives, unlike western governments who send "aid".

there is nothing wrong with helping an impoverished kid receive an education, but its the government's responsibility to do that, every child fed by these charities is less pressure on government to get their shyt straight

An uneducated populace is a corrupt governments wet dream. Think they give a fook if their people can read and write? They are happy to keep their people down whilst they keep the loot for themselves. :manny:

A 2002 African Union study estimated that corruption cost the continent roughly $150 billion a year. One can only imagine what that figure is at today.
