You're right
I've changed my stance on that since I've posted it. I do think Africa should be connected economically the way the EU is though.
Why would anyone want an African union? The European Union has been such a colossal fukk up even the faq-friendly socialist liberals agree.

What the fukk is there a cac on the cover of this magazine? Seriously, I want to see one of you guys on there. There's a growing number of sound investment opportunities in the continent and we (black people) need to take advantage of it. Let's not let the whites become millionaires and billionaires off of our motherland.
That's actually one of the biggest problems in Africa, the lack of connections between neighbouring economies. A lot of infrastructure dates back to the colonial empires, which were organized to get the goods out of the country, more often than not towards the nearest sea, as opposed as interconnecting countries. Even by plane, until recently you had to transit in Paris to go from Bangui (CAR) to Addis-Ababa. Fortunately that is changing.
You username serves you well.
From dude's name I guess he's of Indian descent (dunno if "cac" is eveyone who isn't black for you). I assume you do know that there are Africans who are not black (white people in SA, but also Zimbabwe, Angola...people of chinese or indian descent in SA, Madagascar...people of lebanese descent all over french-speaking Africa)...non-African black people need to stop idealizing the continent and act like it's theirs, go over there and see how the reality on the ground is. I know white people who are more African (because, you know, they've lived in Africa their whole life) than a lot of black people who talk about "the motherland".
I disagree, it's theirs as long as they want it to be. Every black on the Western hemisphere is a rightful African the moment they realize the connection.
