And there is almost no physical requirements to be competent at it. Messi is like 5'5 , 150lbs and he is their GOAT.:skip:
The best way to describe Messi to nikkas who don't know shyt about Soccer is imagine Barry Sanders. Where he's too quick to really touch with one person is a game where space is limited. The nikka just cuts to the left but is too agile, quick, compact and elusive and you can't shyt about it. Plus his touch never fails him which is like if your handles never fail you against the most elite of defenses, he's insanely skilled, has tremendous vision and is the best passer, elite consistency like a MJ or LeBron so he always on your ass and his accuracy is uncanny.

He's an offensive juggernaut and relentless as well. He also moves off the ball as well as anyone and with his pace is extremely hard to do anything with. So he maybe 5'7 160 but he really compact and it's not easy to get him to the ground because you gotta catch him first.

And cricket is the 2nd most popular...who cares. They aren’t as talented as the pro athletes in US sports

Says who, the money says different! 4.5 billion people say different!

What are you going to argue against now, the allocation of money also? The money says they are supremely talented.

Like I said just say before if you don't like it and keep it moving but throwing shade on professionals is childish.

Good, that suits us football fans just fine. We don't want Americans coming into our sport and ruining everything, thanks. In fact, football fans in England just rioted a few weeks ago in protest of American ownership and American involvement in football. Stick to your silly little provincial games that nobody else plays and keep calling yourselves the "world champions" in things that you are the only participants in :mjlol: that way, everybody will stay happy.

Why do Americans think the whole world wants their approval? You are so arrogant and so self-centred that you think the whole world revolves around you and your tastes, it beggars belief. Nobody fukking cares if football takes off in the US or not, except for the corrupt suits at FIFA and even then they only care about it because it's an untapped market for them to make more money out of. And by the way, these corrupt suits place just as much importance on global superpowers like Qatar and the United Arab Emirates as much as they do the US: money's money, they don't give a fukk where it comes from, and the American dollar is worth no more to them than the Arab dinar

Talented how? The fukk is so talented about being a bball player? Most basketball players rely on their height and agility to succed. In soccer, u need technique and stamina and awareness for 45 mins non stop for 2 halves. How is that less talented?

Which coincides with my original point.
Amazement factor.
Americans need it.

Soccer will be the 2nd most popular sport in the USA... probably in about 20-50 years, give or take. MLB (moreso) and NFL have shown signs of concern because they have noticed the signs of ascension in the popularity of soccer in the USA. It has already begun. Most of the big European league matches have been on American TV networks for about 5 years now... with La Liga (Spain) coming to ESPN next year!

As an African American who loves soccer(went to USMNT matches, went to Spain to see FC Barcelona), I hardly watch NFL or NBA games anymore. Soccer is 365 day per year sport... Top flight soccer players maybe get 2 1/2 months off per year after league competitions, cup competitions, FIFA qualifying matches and then official FIFA competitions. That is a lot of sports that would satisfy most American sports junkie. The only thing I watch other than soccer is NCAA College Football.

NFL games are just as low scoring as soccer matches. The first team to score more than 10 points is generally going to win; high scoring games, even in this new era, are not common.

MLB is worse. I went to a Cardinals game... Most of the action took place in the third & ninth inning, the rest of the game was dead. It was a evening game, so the heat wasn't bad. MLB is catering to old white people, Latinos & Asians (Japanese) because they're the only ones that still care about baseball.

The USMNT has plenty of international players getting first team minutes in Europe. Weston Mckennie (Juventus) is on track to become the first world class African American player produced by the US. His first club was FC Dallas. Sergiño Dest (Dutch born) is the starting RB for FC Barcelona. Christian Pulisic basically put Chelsea in position to win their first Champions League title in years.

Soccer is the game of games. Soccer is:

  • American Football
  • Basketball
  • Baseball
  • Billiards

Many of the philosophies and skills required to play these sports/games are required to play soccer; they are just applied differently.

People that talk shyt about soccer are insecure and/or talking out of their ass!

The main focus of a lot of the posts being "oh I don't want to see a 1-1 tie" is as idiotic as saying a 85-84 ball game is necessarily boring. Totally disregarding the defense and all the stuff that happens in a game OTHER than scoring. Some NBA games end up at 120-106 and are boring as hell, just like a football ending at 5-1 can be.

Anyone can't hoop at a serious level. Most nikkas would get washed off the court in seconds, not minutes and I played college ball.

Let's be honest, the Sunday leagues in Europe like 8th division Sweden has older men who would kill it and make you think anyone can play the sport when in reality, these guys are semi pros or some could have been.

The average person with limited experience can't play any of these sports against semi serious competition at all

Both of y'all doing the most. He is over the top in his soccer hatred and you are for Basketball. I haven't shot in six months and would likely beat you 21 to 0 right now. I am out of shape by 50 pounds, got no stamina but my handles are still legit, and you can't guard me if your life depended on it
:flabbynsick: you right can't nobody guard you when it comes to stopping you from getting to the dinner table

Aye bloke, nothing in this thread suggests America wanting approval from you non comprehending lads.
Saying why something isn't popping in one place does not equal looking for someone to want to be a part of your sport.
Im pointing out why I think it'll never pop here. Aint got nothing to do with the beans for breakfast eating wankers cross the pond
