I respect the difficulty of soccer, im just not interested in spending 90 minutes watching something where a 1-1 tie is an acceptable outcome.
Thats what I'm saying.
Straight watching that shyt aint that impressive. Its like being super impressed by the dribbling part of that NBA ASW PG challenge. Yeah it takes a lot of skill but to the naked eye lbh it doesn't look hard at all
All people do in American football is catch a ball and run sometimes they don’t even need to catch it. What’s your point?![]()

No one wants to watch a sport that is OK with ties

At the basic level, any of us can do that. All you have to do is lower the rim. Most of us have done amazing dunks on a door frame.
Replicating something like this is gonna be a lot harder:

that soccer is boring as hell and honestly is generally the most popular sport in the world because it is cheap (space and a line in the sand. Also doesn’t require you to be an athletic genetic anomaly…I can most definitely see where op is coming from.
But they can be out of shape and be a Kevin MaloneMost people who haven’t played bball a lot can’t bounce a basketball to save their life. They will be like Stanley from the office![]()
Based on this logic baseball shouldn’t be as popular as it is.
I’m a football fan and this is pretty true especially if u are a NFL fanY’all kill me with this tie shyt or hating low scores. If football didn’t randomly make a touchdown 6 points, add an extra 1-2 point to it in the form of a extra point kick or two point conversion, and create a participation trophy way to score in the field goal, y’all nikkas would be watching 120 mins of commercials and 20 mins of the ball in movement for 2-3 scores as well![]()
Can you even kick or control a ball?.
Do you not think maybe your perspective is skewed by the fact that you never actually grew up watching/playing soccer? Your frame of reference will always affect your emotional response to an event, and there's nothing universal about it. Kids who start watching soccer because of Pulisic et al. will feel the same way about Messi's run as you feel about Blake's dunk. I'll show you another example of something that won't look hard to you, but will to anyone who ever played this sport.
