Why is there pilot shortage though. I thought it was a highly paid career
When airlines received money during Covid, one stipulation of receiving federal funds was to not layoff employees. Instead, airlines gave a lot of employees a package to retire early. Overall, I'm really starting to question if this worker shortage is intentional.

Barrier to entry is high due to cost. Flight lessons are expensive as fukk.

The correct thing to do would be to subsidize pilot training but we’re the dumbest fukking country on the planet completely incapable of fixing any problems
