People sleeping on the Cardinals.

Just heard a sports insider on the radio mention a bunch of teams that would be

good fits for Kirk Cousins, and he didn't even mention the Cardinals.

Even tho they don't have a QB on their roster.Stanton & Gabbert are FA's,

Palmer's retired, and the Cardinals have the money to go after Cousins?:jbhmm:

Guess the Cardinals are back to being the Rodney Dangerfield of the NFL:gucci:

Everywhere...You never there.
Vikings aren't signing Kirk Cousins...

They have to lock up Diggs, Barr, Kendricks, Hunter, and add depth.

Folks are going to have to get used to the negro in my profile picture.

Also, don't be surprised if you hear "with the 30th pick, the Minnesota Vikings select: Lamar Jackson" in April....

A lot of reports are saying y’all are seriously considering Kirk.

Very smart move by the Chiefs. I'm a big fan of Mahomes and I think he was going to start next year regardless. Plus they get a 3rd Rounder and I believe a cornerback.

This is a mind boggling move for Washington, the only way this makes sense is if they're taking a developmental QB in this upcoming draft and they want him to hold the clipboard for a while. Otherwise they're running on a treadmill.

I'm sure they will take a QB in the later rounds and groom him. It makes sense to me IMO:

- they really didn't like Cousins' game and certainly didn't want to pay him what he was going to get in the free market
- Gruden's post-season press conference basically told you what they think about Cousins, he was basically like :beli: the entire presser

- Smith's going to be the QB for the next 3 years in DC... could definitely be worse.

Good move for the 'Skinz. The Redskins and Cousins were beefing the entire season and the Skinz felt Cousins was holding them hostage with that salary demand vs franchise tag which is damned if you do and damned if they don't. They NEEDED to trade him before he walks and get nothing, especially losing a decent QB. So, somehow getting Smith is a step up in two ways. 1. They get a veteran QB with a similar style as Cousins, but arguably BETTER considering this season Alex Smith was at his career best, lead that struggling team to a playoffs, and was a pro-bowler. 2. This would free up 17 million that they would of force to pay Cousins and they can use that to pick up more decent players.

I mean what's the alternative? Rely on COLT MCCOY as a starter?

You tell me what they were supposed to do? Cousins was already OUT THE DOOR. They were at odds since 2016 over the franchise tag. The Skinz justifiably were hesitant in giving him a long term big dollar deal BECAUSE Cousins only took them to the playoffs by default when they had a 7-9 record, that following season the missed the playoffs despite having a 9-7 record, and gave him one more chance and they had another 7-9 record. Cousins was taking them anywhere and they cannot keep franchising him and they damn sure not going to pay him that kind of money he's requesting for. They were in a bind. They had to trade him which they still haven't YET done. In the meantime, because either way Cousins was out the door, they have to get another QB. And who's out there that they can get AND save them money? Alex Smith makes perfect sense. 1st of all, the writing was on the wall when Reid drafted Mahomes. Smith been through this scenario before where he helps improve a team to a point then get pulled under the rug by the new younger talent. So he was out the door anyway. By playing for the Skinz, he wouldn't have to change much in his style of play because him and Cousins are quite similar. The difference is is the fact that Smith is more experienced, especially more experience when leading a team to the playoffs.

I do not see why not.
