I like what Lalas did right there but USA just isn't that talented imo. That team worked 4-6 years ago but other countries would've had their next generation up to bat over guys like Micheal Bradley, Duece, Jozy, Howard, etc. USA is like the Argentina Basketball team that's still rollin' with Ginobli, Scola, and Nocioni.

I can't believe I'm agreeing with that smug motherfukker Lalas :russ:

At the end of the day, these cats just aren't talented, and its not going to change until we develop a proper football academy.

Michael Bradley in the midfield...fukk y'all think was gonna happen :russ:
Right...we been working our supposed superstars like farm mules and surprised they can't come up

Tbh, you shouldn't have to rely on Deuce Deuce and Howard :flabbynsick:. Good players had excellent PL careers, but father time remains unbeaten.

Dozy :laff: this breh is Haitian Heskey. I told y'all since 09 he's crap, my breh @yoyoyo still living off his AZ season.

They won't scrap the college system to implement a system like everywhere else. Reason being the women's team has been so successful using that system, they think/believe it's going to work in for the men's team at so point and they will continue to do so, even tho it is totally wrong. There is too much money not enough sense in the USSF to make the changes, also they're afraid of going against the grain and doing something different from the US sports system.

HS > College > Pro

I blame Landycakes for it all. Your so called best and most high profile player, wasted his career playing in the US, when he should of been playing in Europe for more than the 3-4 months spells he had, which were just to keep him fit for the MLS season ahead anyway.

Overhaul the system and throw money to Spanish and Germany youth coaches, will probably take 10-15 years to see results, possibly longer knowing the suits in power, they will expect results asap, but it don't work like that, I'm afraid :skip:

Y'all out here caping talking about USMNT just doesn't have the talent.

Well wtf has Sunil Gulati been doing all these years?

Hell, when they hired Klinsmann to be head coach I thought he was better suited for Gulati's job. Klinsmann is a big picture guy. He's a development guy. Gulati hasn't done anything.

If the issue is the talent, call for the head of the guy who is supposed to lead the national structure to build it.

Soccer is a suburban sport only in the USA, you cant compete with that shyt. We need to take our talented youth and have them learn dribbling skills from an early age instead of putting on pads :francis:
This might end up happening down the line. As more and more kids stop playing football, they'll play other sports. Many will probably lean towards basketball but others could end up playing soccer. I think they need the generation of soccer players before them to generate some kind of interest in it though. And I'm talking about the men, the women's team has done their part and I think soccer is one of the top 2 sports for girls right now.

Ultimately it comes down to the fact that our best athletes are playing basketball and football and some even play baseball. Compared to other countries where soccer is the country's #1 sport. Imagine if guys like Lebron and Westbrook grew up playing soccer instead of basketball

Exactly. Final of the Confed cup, 2 concacaf titles, 2 knockout round appearances in the WC with fukking Michael Bradley running your mid field abd Jozy Altidore at striker.:mjlol:

Compare that to teams like England and Argentina with world class players at every position who accomplish nothing either

US is in a transition phase. Its time to role with the young guys.
:whoa:I mean they would still thrash US 4-1, but I couldn't let you get away with this

US are who they are.

A group with below average talent that can sit back and hopefully nick a goal on a counter/set piece

They've won 2 games in the last 3 world cups:yeshrug:
