They won't scrap the college system to implement a system like everywhere else. Reason being the women's team has been so successful using that system, they think/believe it's going to work in for the men's team at so point and they will continue to do so, even tho it is totally wrong. There is too much money not enough sense in the USSF to make the changes, also they're afraid of going against the grain and doing something different from the US sports system.

I blame Landycakes for it all. Your so called best and most high profile player, wasted his career playing in the US, when he should of been playing in Europe for more than the 3-4 months spells he had, which were just to keep him fit for the MLS season ahead anyway.

Overhaul the system and throw money to Spanish and Germany youth coaches, will probably take 10-15 years to see results, possibly longer knowing the suits in power, they will expect results asap, but it don't work like that, I'm afraid

They would never overhaul the college system for what they do with academies across the world, and the reason would be it would destroy the college system. Not that the college soccer system matters much, but it opens everything up for basketball academies, baseball academies, football etc... It would likely lead the collapse in college sports overall, and that is something the system would not want. Soccer isnt important enough in USA to cause this drastic change, so that is why nothing will chance.

Put them in an official USMS Academy and go from there.

Alexei Lalas is guilty of gassing these guys up. He kills them on HIS expectations. These guys just aren't that good at this time. It doesn't help the managers aren't on the same level as the players.

This is the same man who said the US was the 4th best team in the world in 2006 when in reality they were closer to 15-20.

Tim Howard is old. Clint Dempsey has never been a team player. Jozy has never been that good. He just did this for likes and shares.
