If it's not present now, no amount of life experiences is going to put it there. Soul singers have a special ability that's really not tangible. It's that ability to connect with an audience and garner this type of response just off their vocals. It's taking the audience to "church" without even being in a church setting. Soul singers are also just as comfortable singing in front of a congregation as they are on stage at a sold out arena.

what I've come to gather is...its never a respect thing. Its always a competition thing.
