All I ended up getting for Christmas was my heart broken

Similar thing happened to me last year just 5 days before Christmas. We were together 5 years and knew each other for 7 and she blindsided me with the breakup. I did make mistakes that led up to it but she told me were good and everything was fine before that I never cheated but I did neglect her a lot towards the end and I just assume some other guy was telling her all the things I wasn't. It was really hard the first 3-4 months but my family, the gym and volunteer work helped a lot. The one positive is that she broke up with me at a time when I was rounding back into being in great shape and had it happened in early 2010 I'd be in trouble looking


I also feel the person I am today is much improved over the person I was while I was with her in almost every aspect. I wish her the best since I'm not bitter though and I don't want to see anyone I cared about struggling. Just know that you can do better and you'll feel better I been through it too.

I was in a similar situation maybe 3 or 4 years ago. We don't have a kid or anything like that but I thought Id give her a ring eventually. Anyways I've been on a winning streak ever since that L and I guess I kind of owe it to her. I ran into her a couple months back and she was all over me....My chick at the time was way hotter then her but I still wanted to smash one last time for revenge. I lost contact with her so I never got the chance but I still think about her sometimes. She definitely had a huge impact on my life. I think that's how life is though, people just impact each others lives. I definitely know for sure that she had way bigger impact on my live then I had on hers. I'm also sure there's some dude out there who had a huge impact on her life. There are also chicks out there who I dont even remember who are still probably hung up over me. That's life, thats how we learn and grow.

The hardest thing is that she will always be in your life because of the kid. You got move on, focus on improving yourself. There are other women out there, it may not seem like it now. Choosing to love a woman is very powerful, which is why you have to be careful who you give your heart to.

You have to keep being actively social with all your friends, don't dwell and isolate yourself from your friends and family It will only make you feel worse and you will hate yourself more.
The easiest way of moving on is meeting new people, through school, work or even just through parties and other friends. Meeting new people and making new friends will help build your confidence once again and help you break some of the routines that your in that remind you of the past..

Best Advice so far...Focus on you and your son. You gotta move on breh. and keep everything between you and her about your son and nothing else. She'll never comeback if she feels that her spot is always reserved.
