I get what you and the other woman are saying, but on the real, I still think that single mothers should factor in that they may not be able to pull the same men (for a serious relationship) as they did before.

You might get lucky and find a Cam, but if you're holding out for the tall handsome swagged out dude, you could end up like a lot of these "permanent" single moms that could never find a man that wanted to commit.

But at same time I do concede that it's a personal decision on what someone is pursuing on a romantic level. They have to be with that person, so if they can't find attraction to the regular Joe Corporate dude that is the provider type, then so be it.

You expect her to call her children a burden? And for some men children would be an added bonus. I've dated single moms and childless women and the children were never the issue. The issues were always the women.

And of course her kids aren't going to be a liability to her, I'd hope not. And it is being silly to say they'd be an added bonus, i doubt that is realistic. Just because they are not an added bonus doesn't make them a liability. Why the extremes? I'm sure the guy who fell for the single mom would like the kids but that doesn't make them a bonus, they just so happen to grow on him. I mean are there guys that meet a woman they like, find out she had kids and are like "that's even better!" The single guys I know in that situation just seem to accept it because they are interested in the mom.

Anyways, single mother threads are always funny. They are so one-sided, filled with stereotypes, and unrealistic. If there are all these single mothers then logically there are just as many single fathers, regardless if the children live with him. It's not like it's 5 men knocking up all these women.
