I'm dating a single mom who's older, kids early teens, and its not really an issue. We have one of our own as well, and the ex is very negligent of their child. I think the older the kid is, the less you gotta play daddy. The problem with a lot of single mothers I know is that they are desperate and hop from relationship to relationship, without getting to know someone. Like that mom could've searched the sex offender website and found him before moving him in with her children. I mean relationships now adays have changed. Being a single mom, moving in your bf/gf in, getting furniture, cars, etc in your name for someone your dating all of it is so normalized people dont think twice about doing it
