The funny part is I don't hate women over 30 and they are my preference but I have no problem with men not wanting that and people shouldn't shame them for it, even more so if the women are overweight. The other funny part is, and this will piss off people, getting men to lower their standards in a country where you are not the majority just makes it easier for other non-black women to scoop them up. shyt is not rocket science and yet people act like it is.

If a dude has a "preference" for skinnier chicks that's one thing, but lets cut the cap and stop pretending bw over 30 should be 120lbs in their natural state when that's just not realistic.

A lot of women, including black women, are entirely capable of that. You need to change your circles then. And yes, it is a preference.

Don’t make this a competition about which group bashes who more. Because referring to a group of women as hair hatted hooligans, dark butts etc isn’t exactly the nicest either. It’s not a competition.

There is a whole ass movement that is based around black male death. Whole websites devoted to the idea. That's within the race, let alone out of it. This website, which even bushes and bans people for even suggesting anything to the contrary of liking black women is not one of them and acting like it is is silly. There is a decent chance I may get bushed or banned in this thread for merely saying black men should be allowed a preference. The fact that I'm even thinking that is a testament to the policing that occurs here. You're over-reacting.

I'm not shaming you. If anything, some of the people you're defending would shame you for that, which is wrong. You have every right to do so, as my other posts indicate. I'm simply saying I'm a poster like everyone else. The funny part is, you're right. A thread you made tipped me off to the fact that registration was open but this is the issue. You want people to post and at the same time expect a pecking order to occur, which is fallacious. It doesn't work that way. If so, then you really need to make that part of the rules of this site, something I actually looked up when I joined. And indeed, it's all love. It's a shame if this is how it ends for me.

I agree, I'm getting off track. The issue I'm having is that the sheer resistance that we're all seeing in this thread is similar to other threads on the idea of being selective in regards to one's preference for women and especially black women. The general idea of this board embraces black women overall and people are focusing on the bad. Yes pawg threads exist but black love threads exist, threads extolling on the virtues of a black woman exist. I'm willing to concede if it was different back in the day on here but looking through everything, I just don't see it. There seemed to be a more wild west feel back in the day but the sentiments seem to be the same. We'll have to agree to disagree on this.

I do agree, there is a lot of pessimism on this board. The funny part is, I did start off on HL and found this board by looking up something that brought me to The Root. I do think they should bring back the rule that locks people out of TLR until they have 100 posts.

Maybe dudes want women that are skinnier. Maybe that's what they are used to. Skinny, good looking black women exist. Especially over 30. Maybe that's what they want instead of this. Maybe they don't want average. Dudes should be aiming for the stars and yet trashed for not wanting average. The same can be said for women. Aim for the stars just don't think you are entitled to better.

What gets me is that, the go to response is "you hate black women" and not "you hate fat women" when the main issue dudes seem to be having with these women are their weights. Ole "settle for less black man, that is your lot in life" ass motherfukkers.

Alot of these guys are most likely a little chubby themselves, so I can see why they could come at you hard like that.

most of them,except 1(maybe) are 1 kid away from heading in that direction. I didn't look at it long but it looks like they all have pretty faces.

I notice guys who like "thick" women are either chubby or really skinny guys who work at restaurants or minimum wage establishments, nothing wrong with working at minimum wage, but I think it affects their self esteem(which as a group we struggle with anyway)
