This was probably the plan all along. Austin, denver, Atlanta, Boston, and LA all sound like sexier picks than Nova (which they are btw, Nova is a bunch of generic suburbs) but Bezos was mostly interested in getting close to the financial and government capitals. This was probably just a play to fill that bag up with tax breaks.

It over for the E and F train. About to be looking like the D train heading downtown at 8 am on a weekday with a million delays

That’s the only thing I feared. The 7, E and F are going to be horrible when it comes to travel. I speculate the Q 60 will be the worst bus in NYC after this.

All this talk about queens

:blessed: DMV homeowners we won!

:jbhmm: Traffic bout to be so ass tho....
We lost. things are expensive enough as it is...cost of living out here has almost doubled. traffic sux...its about to be unmanageable. it's already bad, takes 1.5 hrs for me to get to the 14th st bridge and another 10 mins navigating downtown or if I'm feeling lucky..9th street tunnel is not backed up. Do you know Where they are putting it??? Crystal City? Or near the Pentagon ? I Might as well move back to NY for all this.
:francis::martin: at least ill be in more familiar surroundings near queens...I think :lupe:

They''ve been moving away from Manhattan but to Jersey City, now they're taking the boroughs which means you have to move to Jersey unless you're caking :wow:

Only win in term of housing prices. And potentially more competitive salaries across the board, though apparently Amazon doesn’t pay more than the norm.

The site will be in Crystal City(I work there now). But basically CC will be Amazon City. They will own that whole neighborhood breh.

DMV traffic jumped the shark a couple years ago so I can’t imagine how it could get worse. If nothing else, this will force the city to improve the metro.

We’ll see what happens long term but i think the decision has definite pros and cons

IP industry and international trade is heavy here..along with the tech industry in Tyson corner and Reston. NoVA is very generic and cookie cutter
