Oh shyt how could I forget about the patent office. I was originally just thinking bezos was just trying to pick off the best lobbyists. But yeah they live and die off IP.

I think a lot of the crystal city employees will be trying to transfer to Seattle or NYC after a year or 2 in Nova :russ:
Northern Virginia doesn't suck but damn, its expensive as shyt in NOVA

Breh they out there taking bets on where HQ2 gonna be you could have caked up :what:

I had no idea about any bets. I work in construction. The owner of the company I worked for had talked about this months ago. That whole area going to change even more than it already has. That whole strip by blend on the water is nuts.

Queens as a borough is one of the last bastions of the "old" NYC...transplants had no reason to go up to hoods like Cambria Heights, Jamaica, Jackson Heights, Woodside, etc...so they've retained that authentic NYC feel. That may change in the next 10-20 yes, esp seeing how quickly LIC has developed.

Look how they did 5 pointz :wow:

I'm paying $16 hundo for a 1br in Sunnyside.

Looking like a lot of those jobs are gonna be tech. If I can land one, I'll be able to walk/bike to work. #CertGang with another win.

i avoid queens at all costs.....this is gonna make that area worse traffic wise. rents about to shoot up...its a win for NYC as a top city...a major lose for native NY'ers.

Native New Yorkers aren't what comes to mind when I think of Western Queens. It is FILLED with Asian, Latino, and European immigrants.

Cambria Heights is not in the same category as any of those areas and that area literally boarders Long Island lol.

Parents and many black families OWN property in Queens....don’t mind, after a certain time of raising a family as a community we should have more property owners

I know a few black families on my block that have own their homes for over 70 years. I live in East Elmhurst and it was one of the first neighborhoods that black people were even allowed to buy property. And it's the most stable neighborhood in NYC. Once you buy a house here you don't leave. The median move in date for home owners in 1976
