Ok american brehs and brehettes, I'm trynna get into football. I figured why the hell not since it got you guys so excited each sunday.

anyway, I know next to nothing about football. The rules and stuff is not really what Im looking for, since I can just read up on that easily.

What I need to know is the players and the teams.. I figured since I'm a NBA junkie, an easy way to approach this would be to say "this team is basically the Lakers of the nBA" "This guy is the LeBron of the NFL" etc.

So, bless me with your knowledge brehs.

Who's the Duncan, KG and Kobes? (all time greats still playing).

Who's Bron?

Who's Anthony Davis? :whew:

Which teams are the Celtics and Lakers? (historically dominant)

Who are the big three Heat? (The team we all hate)

what you got the coli? :sas1:

this is pretty cool to see, i am currently doing this with soccer and immersing myself in the bpl season after knowing a little bit for a number of years.

so daps to you.

my biggest recommendation is take a year and soak up as much as possible, dont force yourself to like any time just watch and see who you gravitate towards.. let it happen natrually rather then putting yourself in a box. cause you find a team you don't like in the end and it sucks.

as far as nba/nfl comparisons

tom brady - kobe
peyton manning - tim duncan
patriots - spurs
russell wilson - kawhi
boogie cousins is dez bryant
AJ green is paul george
carmelo is tony romo
blake is drew brees

the one thing about the NFL is that there is no lebron. with that many players on the field at any given time one single player cannot really overtake every aspect of the game like lebron can. 22 is a lot more then 5.

the best player currently in the NFL is peyton

if you ever want to get deep into strategy that's something worth talking about too, understanding various formations and plays and how they effect matchups etc

as far as individual command of a game and presence absolutely

you can be on some apples to oranges shyt but the nfl is a QB league and he just broke mad records

yea he really commanded the big game didnt he :mjlol:

I'd take Rodgers and Brady over Peyton any day. Brady been elite with no weapons and Rodgers has everything Peyton has and then some. Peyton needs a good line in order to be successful. He sucks under pressure. sorry breh, but playing in a weak ass division and conference will break NFL numbers for any elite qb.

See bold:
nikkas make the playoffs 3 yrs in a row and are still considered a "sorry squad" :snoop:

Yet they won't ever say that about the Steelers, tho we kept them nikkas out the past 2 yrs, once in a winner goes on, loser misses the postseason game. But we sorry. Aiiiiiiiite. Best of luck to your squad this season :myman:
