Yes nikka. The United States has a template on how the cities are built. If you travel outside the states you'll know what im talking about.

Quite the contrary breh, I have traveled outside the States lol. And honestly, certain European cities have a certain monotonous look about them as well such as Paris, Brussels, Barcelona, etc. even with some unique nooks and crannies.

Paris is pretty much like any other huge world city. They have mature infrastructure. Especially around the city center. Very segregated too. I seen alot of brehs the first time I went but I was staying in Champs with so it was mostly wealthy cacs around. The second time I went I tapped in with some brehs who were promoters and I saw a completely different city. There’s a “Black Paris” that alot of people don’t know about and you probably wouldn’t get there without knowing somebody.

Its dope bruh. Clubs, black barber shops, black owned restaurants, bad bytches, etc. Less of that snooty vibe of other parts. There are alot of brehs who are big in club promotion.

Milan has a similar vibe. Between the soccer players, bball players, and Africans its a lot of wealthy black people running the club scenes. My other homie I was stationed with knew the owner of one of the popping clubs and I got cool with alot of folks over there like that. Still hear from alot of folks over there.

I loved Berlin. Felt like one big ass eclectic mix of every style of architecture known to man. The contrast between East Berlin and West Berlin was deep keeping the effects of the Wall in context. East had that monotonous USSR style feeling to it still. the gentrification in Kreuzberg on another level. One of the best public transit systems I'd ever experienced. Transit was also solid in Zurich, but a bit too rich and white for my blood

Off the top of the head, Pittsburgh and Birmingham developed around industries and mines, which is unique.

overall I think suburbs are designed for cars but major inner cities are still by are large navigable without a car.

I would also say that the diversity of our major cities makes us unique from Europe. There are more languages spoken in New York than any other place on Earth

So this article on Quora popped up on my home page feed on there (it’s a pretty interesting site) where the OP is asking why are American cities so boring and uniformly similar to each other compared to European cities. The person who replied is most likely a Cac because the answer sounds like some shyt I’d see on City-Data

The reply starts of by saying that there are only three (3) American cities: New York, San Francisco, and New Orleans....Everywhere else is Cleveland.

But yes I didn’t read it yet but many American cities don’t have much uniqueness to it. But I also disagree that only 4 cities in America are unique. There’s much more than that because there are much more then 4 super old cities

Not sure I agree with him entirely being that the design of the majority of American cities were built before the automobile. The streets in the US were built for horse and buggy, just as they were in Europe albeit European roads and cities are far older. If you go to Philadelphia, New York, Boston etc there's major traffic and parking problems for a reason and that's because they were never intended for cars let alone millions of them.

And I don't know what he's talking about as far as walking and living comfortably...major cities in Europe are just as much a pain to get around at the US ones are.

The east coast coast and places like SF and NOLA are the only places where you can tell it was built for horse and buggy’s.

No it isn’t. Only thing that’s similar is the grid system. I’ll agree on that. But you won’t find pre war buildings outside of the northeast like that.

Its not but I understand the point. In America we have a "big, stone or glass, skyscraper skyline" with perhaps 1 or 2 truely unique structures. ie. Space Needle, Stl. Arch, etc. Legit EVERY American city has this building...

The architectural differences between Venice, Florence, and Rome are totally different...down to the individual areas. So I get the point...it's just a really unfair one to make considering historical context.

Yes but those buildings are modern/new.


You aren’t going to find no other black community or community outside of NYC that looks like Harlem or The South Bronx.


But I will agree that American cities are changing and becoming more alike.

I drive through Floral Park Long Island everyday and that is one beautiful suburb where all the houses are big, sit on big plots of land and each house has its own individual architecture and scheme.
