What does whether anyone would marry a trans person have to do with the fact that Republicans are trying to erase them from public life? This is the same thing that Republicans have been doing for decades, attacking marginalized communities (black people, gay people, and now trans people) to distract from the fact that none of their policies are even intended to help anyone who is not a millionaire/billionaire.

And some of you are falling for it hook line and sinker.
If you’re not willing to marry a trans woman (the ultimate identifier if you view a trans woman the same as a cis woman) then be consistent enough to acknowledge there is biological differences that shouldn’t be ignored when it comes to sports.

I agree it’s a silly wedge issue (trans women competing in women sports) but it’s an effective checkmate for republicans that hurts the Democrats electorally and their brand in general

You said the number isn’t high enough for concern.

What is the threshold?

Stop distracting and answer the question. You are now using cac mamba tactics, and it is beneath you as a poster.

This is what you spend the whole day talking about, and have been doing so for the last two years without a pause. I'm sure you know the number off head. What is the number?

My ideology is consistent I'm for civil rights for all people hunchbacks dwarfs trans, gays whites blacks Asians people with 1 leg 3 arms wheelchair bound etc. You're the ones who's inconsistent, and basing your ideology on polling first and foremost. You looking for a weird sexual preference angle to justify why YOU'RE inconsistent.
No I’m consistent and I can also debate the issue without lying about you or getting emotional.

I wouldn’t marry a trans woman because I know there is undeniable biological differences between cis and trans and those same differences should exclude trans women from competing in women sports

The fact that you can’t answer the question one way or another shows you can’t think for yourself and you’re parroting an ideology

But how many are there in the US? Some of you (not talking about you in particular) seem to feel like this is a national issue worth taking up the time of the US Govt.

So that number matters. There are roughly 340 million people living in the US. How many of them are trans athletes?

It certainly isn't the argument I'm making. It's not prevalent and it's only an issue because it hasn't been addressed at state and local levels. This is in part because of the lack of actual cases where a transathlete is dominating sport and also due to fear of reprisals from the federal government.

But that's the problem, it's such a small issue that affects so few people, it's crazy seeing these strong opinions from both liberals and conservatives. The problem for liberals is it just isn't a hill worth dieing on. Keep fair play in sports. Then you can talk about civil rights etc.

Are you retarded? Donald trump literally signed a military EO, amongst 50 other anti trans eos that are being challenged in courts
Overweight, the infirm, and those who can’t pass admissions tests can’t join the military but who have civil rights protected given their status as legal residents and citizens.

What civil rights are trans people being restricted from?

Is this your argument:dead: you're arguing they should be able to discriminate against people in the military because what they chose to identify as ?

The number used to be 0. Now every district has a few.

If the number doesn’t matter, in your opinion, then say that. But you seem to think theres a threshold, so what is it?
I don't set arbitrary thresholds. The question is "how does banning trans athletes from sports impact your life?" and the answer is, it doesn't. That's not an issue to base a vote on when there are things like Education, Healthcare, the Economy, etc. that actually affect people whom legislators should be focused on.

Governing bodies should be worried about more important things. If there's a sports-related issue, people should talk to the commissioners and find out how they came up with their positions on inclusion and exclusion. I don't want the government deciding the rules for sports; it's dumb and wasteful.

You are still deflecting. HOW. MANY. TRANS. ATHLETES. ARE. THERE. IN. THE. US?

Why can't you answer that? Because you know it would make you look silly?

How many transgender athletes are there in the U.S.?

Out of 510,000 athletes competing at the collegiate level, there are fewer than 10 who publicly identify as transgender, Charlie Baker, the N.C.A.A. president, said in January. The number of transgender athletes participating in youth and high school sports is unknown.

Transgender people make up less than 1 percent of adults in the United States, according to the Williams Institute at the U.C.L.A. School of Law, which studies L.G.B.T.Q. issues.

Whats your point?

It’s the same reason women can’t joint certain elite units. Without support for various biological needs women have, not to mention the physical demands, it compromises the ability to complete top tier missions or send soldiers downrange with limited resources.

What support do trans people deserve that you think the military should provide thats mission focused?

Why should it affect me?

Tax cuts for billionaires dont bother me, but I’m not in favor of letting them to continue to rent-seek the economy.

If I had kids, I wouldn’t want my daughters competing against males when they’re going out for scholarships, recruitment or qualifiers for elite rounds

Yeah, and these organizations have already decided that it’s over.

World Athletics: World Athletics plans cheek-swab tests for elite athletes in female category

NCAA: NCAA announces transgender student-athlete participation policy change - NCAA.org

SO why are you defending it?
