Like I said, it sucks as a fan, but if his man’s don’t have a problem then who are we.

And it ain’t a Mobb or countless other groups thing either because they are still good friends despite it. Big even performed at one of Dre’s flute recitals .

I’m ok with it as long as people never put 3K in their top 5 ever again nor try to slight Big Boi every time OutKast is brought up. Big Boi has 3 solo rap albums, two collabs, and two compilations. 3K has a flute album. Big Boi should be on your top lists instead. He actually provides solo music to allow you to place him up there.

You'll never be ok then because peope are still going to put Andre 3000 in their Top 5. I don't see why this would suddenly stop anyone from doing so. Its their personal Top 5. Big Boi's solos have no bearing on that. And people don't even bother Big Boi when mentioning GOATs and only bring up Big Boi to slight 3000.

In my book, sometimes you do things in life that aren't something you like to do. You do it because it's the right thing to do. It might not make you a dime. If Hip-Hop makes the 50 Year old Andre uncomfortable then tough. How bout you do it for the fans that keep your name alive or respect the music you put out. Not performing at this event says a lot. He could've done a couple songs & bounced...

Andre 3000 is 50 years old and has been rapping since he was in his teens. He’s obviously fell out of love with rapping and performing and isn’t inspired to do it anymore. Why can’t he honor that feeling? How many things did you do when you were 16-17 that you’re no longer interested in doing now???I understand the feeling because I was a Dj for 20 years & I’m never djing publicly again.

I honestly find Andre 3000 refreshing. Hip-Hop keeps a lot of people in suspended adolescence or arrested development and he's one of the few rappers who have grown old gracefully and said look, I'm over this shyt, the game has passed me by and I don't want to spend time trying to pretend I'm still young. Just let me play my flute, produce art on my own timing, enjoy my life and when the feeling hits me, I'll drop a verse for a young artist.

It's not fukk the fans in that he doesn't appreciate their support, it's fukk the fans in the sense that he doesn't owe them his life nor do they get to dictate what personal decisions artists make for their life or their career. If he's not called or driven to rap or perform anymore, he shouldn't be forced to because the fans want him to.

Fans want a lot of things for other people's lives and careers. I'm sure fans want NaS to recreate illmatic. Fans would have never wanted Rocafella to break up but Jay-Z outgrew that situation. Part of being a fan is just shutting the fukk up and being a fan and accepting that you don't control your favorite artist.

This is why Andre was never in my goat list. Sure he is super talented but I mean nikka could atleast perform a track in the field that put your career on the map. Plus not only that your fans would have loved to see it. There’s no excuse to act like this especially when you still got older cats like LL, Cube, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Chuck D etc still performing. Best believe when Wu gets inducted they all going to be performing.

Speaking of, why the F*** is Wu Tang not in there yet? I thought of that the other day man.... I agree for the most part with this post though.
