I agree kids need to learn to respect authority, but to get respect you must give respect and honestly that's what cops don't realize. Given the last 3 months do you think the kids might not hold a little resentment towards cops? No. Kids need to learn how to respond to authority. Notice, I said 'respond', not 'bow down' or 'bend over'.
According to Faux they're "smuggling prayer rugs over the Mexican border"But but but worry about ISIS brehs. They are the real threats to your life![]()

The issue here isn't that the kid didn't respect the cops, the issue is that the cops don't know how to measure out force.
If the kid actually respected the cops, he wouldn't have been struggling in the first place. I blame the media for that just as much as I blame the media for the negative portrayal of 'Black' kids that leads to incidents like this.
NO it's not you're thinking fear. Respect you have to give to get.No, you don't have to give respect to get it. That's a fantasy.
The vast majority of cops FULLY realize what force is necessary. That one cop coming outta nowhere was in the wrong, the three restraining the kid were not.

Respect is also earned. It's no an inalienable right. You aren't born with respect then lose it. You earn it then lose it.Nah, breh. DISRESPECT is earned. Respect is a given.
That's the problem with this country. Too many think people are not worthy of respect by default.
the average person has good experiences w/ police. The bottom line is, under current laws, you (effectively) don't have any rights on the streets when it comes to dealing with police. If you want to change that, it takes an organized effort and a movement - fighting with them at the scene won't do you any good and will fukk up your situation even more (or get you killed).
the average person has good experiences w/ police.
All these videos of cops you see where people complain is the police dealing w/ folks doing something wrong.
If you really want to avoid the police, mind your business and dont do dumb shyt.
and if you get caught, accept the L and fight it out in court.

'ish right now. There's SOME, very little, but SOME truth to this. Cops do deal with some shyt, aren't really appreciated like they should be AND get paid pennies. Still doesn't give them the right to do the shyt you see in these videos AND if that weren't bad enough, when they get caught doing dirt NOTHING happens. I could almost say, "well at least the bad ones are getting culled from the police heard, but as these last few months have highlighted, that's just not the case.the average person has good experiences w/ police.

like most of these big media issue...both sides bring their biases to the table.
On a site like this people like to forget what its like dealing w/ cats in the hood....it aint easy.
So imagine you having to deal w/ murders, rapist, drunk people, petty crime etc.... day in and day out...and whenever you deal w/ someone a random person pulls their phone out and says youre doing too much.
The fukk do you want them to do?
the fact that you said "Africans" tells me where youre coming from...Most Afrikans have good experiences with police? Interesting, considering polls say otherwise.
People getting pulled over and harassed for no reason, stopped when crossing the street, stopped and frisked for nothing... come on.
You're sounding real'ish right now.
