Also, remember what i was sayin to some brehs the other day about Ant lacking the motor of an SGA or a prime Russ?

We saw that today. Game 3 he was relentless and active. This game the gas tank was on E and he was basically coasting the first 2.5 to 3 quarters

At one point i even thought he was intentionally over-relying on his teammates to keep it close, so he could conserve energy to take over in the 4th quarter... but nah, he was just passive and content to be a "decoy"
Ant the type to have Blah Gigi hemmed up in the back of the locker room 20 minutes before warm up.

They loaded on Ant he played decoy the first half. You expect a player of his caliber to go at the rim hard and get fouled. He needed to be more aggressive. The criticism was correct that he looked gassed out there. Its inexcusable on a crucial game 2. If you're the main man you gotta go down swinging can't be pulling a Jalen Green out here.

I agree he needed to go off or die trying

Very try even tho we know the west was a damn lion’s den back then but let’s keep it 1000 — those Sabo and KD teams kinda underachieved.

And considering the limited success that group had when they split up, that unit — in hindsight — needed to stay together.

SGA gets his chip and at least the league can throw some marketing $$$ at him
2010- Kobe/Pau. lost to the champs
2011- Dirk Mavs. lost to the champs
2012-Heat big 3. lost to the champs
2013- Russ got hurt round 1, missed the rest of the playoffs
2014- Spurs. lost to the champs
2015- missed playoffs, injuries
2016- choke job but it was still a 73-9 team

They underachieved once imo

Seeing as how the Grizzlies during that era were holding teams to under 90ppg for an entire season and postseason on average, i'd say they were pretty special.

Lob City had a confirmed HOFer in Chris Paul and Prime Blake Griffin (who was an MVP candidate behind KD and Bron)

So again, KD/Westbrook and Harden when he was there were usually playing, confirmed HOFers or MVP candidates, or insanely tough defensive teams JUST TO GET OUT THE WEST. And if they were to do that, they'd see Prime Bron with 2 more HOFers by his side

This year, OKC played the last remnants of the 2020's bytch n Whine Grizzles, Jokic (the only guy to take OKC to 7 games so far) and AntMan and Randle. And as u can see, this series is basically done
So again those teams never did shyt and there was nothing special about them aside from names on paper. They did no more than the Deron Williams era Jazz :dead:

Mf looked tired since the first quarter idk how that is even possible
I mentioned this during the LA/Minny series -
Y'all talking about how Luka and Bron are gassed, but Ant is even moreso. He's not even looking to score.
Which in defense of Ant, it's hard as hell in today's NBA with all the spacing and the help defenders to keep your foot on the gas throughout. It's almost impossible to play at a high level at both ends, navigating around picks and running out to the 3-pt line, especially if you don't have anyone else on your team to share the offensive load with.

Folks really underestimate how much of a tank you need for the playoffs.
