Yeah, the thing is, though... Religion merely reinforces discrimination (of all kinds, on many levels). So you probably wouldn't be wrong for telling them it's immoral to discriminate against someone with no rational reason.

Not for all though... My mom for example would be broken without God. Her life basically revolves around church, either directly or indirectly. If she's not physically in church she's always doing something to please God. If tomorrow we all found out there was no god then she wouldn't have a reason to live because being a good Christian gives her hope for a better world. It's different from my thinking but I understand where she's coming from

Dude, that's epic... her reason for living should be to live her life FOR HER. But... Idk.

I was raised christian and was heavily into in my late teens and early 20s. I now consider myself agnostic. I do believe in a higher power, I just don't believe in a country club like religion that is guided by a god that is exclusive of others for various reasons. :manny:

I have studied all religions and to me they are pretty much all the same. Jesus Christ offers something a little different, but to me it's all the same ish... different culture.. different location.

You're an agnostic theist.

It's almost alarming to see how many people are agnostic anything these days. Especially since not too long ago, everyone was deeply spiritual and religious, shunning anyone who was anything other than that. I view agnosticism as logical open-mindedness, and I think it's great that more and more people are adopting this way of thinking.

It seem like most of the time people stop believing in god is more so because of religion more than god himself

Its important that members of our society aren't teaching their kids mythical nonsense parading as fact that will contradict anything they learn in a science related field if they one day decide to pursue an advanced degree. The more scientifically literate a society is the better.

It's all about the kids breh

:manny:

and Muslims aren't pussies and will chop your head off instead of debate with you and look stupid like christians do, that's why.

Would u provoke a mad man?

i was catholic all the way from childhood through high school... when i got into college and started thinking for myself and analyzing my surroundings, religion did not make sense to me. I became agnostic, then within a year or two became athiest.

I agree! I often felt like I couldn't be open-minded or apply logic to Christianity. And the skepticism I had was harshly judged in the church and wasn't even acknowledged. I aint got time for that.:childplease:
