Depends on where you get it. The place I had to done had 4 different combinations.

Ive gotten it done...if u have any problems with dryness, do NOT get it done.. U need to remember this is an irreversible process, and it makes dryness even worse

I got mine done...i had dryness problems, but they give u this "tear test" called a schirmers test...and i passed it, so i was a candidate...i got it done. I hated my contacts with a passion...but if i could go back, i would probably just keep my contacts and my glasses..i constantly have dryness problems, and some ghosting/blurriness at times...but then again, if i went back to my contacts, maybe id say "no no, i want my lasik back"...who fukkin knows

Im crazy about my eyes tho...every little issue with my eyes, i get paranoid that theres something wrong from the lasik...then of course, i started lookin up things online, and theres millions of stories of people saying they hate their eyes afterwards. At the end of the day tho, i think theres like a 90 something % satisfaction rate

just get multiple opinions, and remember, the worse ure eyes are and the bigger ure script, the bigger chance ure takin

Got LASIK last April and it set me back $5K but one of the best decisions Ive ever made. DO YOU RESEARCH, this is the last thing that you want to shortcut and get lower quality. My surgeon had 15+ years exp and one of the best in the south :krs:

20/15 in the L eye, 20/20 in the R. Recovery wasnt bad at all, sleep it off for a few hours and youre good. Your eyes will be extremely dry all the time for about 3 months but they'll return back to normal now. My eyes are still very sensitive to direct rays, I dont go outside without the locs now :boss:

I want to get this simply because I have astigmatism really bad and contacts don't do shyt for it. Plus I'm fukking sick of being dependent on contacts and glasses :why:

I got it done.
@a murda - if you're from chicago, you might want to consider heading two-hours west to Rock Island, IL.

They got a Lasik doc that is supposedly top 5 in the nation.

He did mine and my wife's.

I had astigmatism, and had been nearsighted for like 20 years. He ended that in like five minutes.

Think it was closer to $4k, but that was for the bladeless option. I know a girl that got the standard blade version, and it was fine. I think it cost her under 3k.

Best decision since HDTV.
