Got it done seven years ago. Been 20/15 ever since and haven't had any problems at all. I got a free consultation as well so definitely check that out if it's available.

I wanted it but I keep hearing about having to eventually go back to glasses later on in life because vision going bad with old age. If thats the case I'll stick to my contacts :yeshrug:

I see everything breh :ahh: the world is beautiful, and it feels like this is the way we were meant to be lol. Just wake up and get to moving without squinting to see the clock, reaching around trying to find my glasses, no more headaches from contacts, etc lol

Yeah man... At least the laser portion... First they put a numbing drop in the first eye, had some machine hold my eyelids open, then a laser created a thin flap for them to fold back, then a second laser goes to town on your eyes while you smell it smoking :merchant:... Then they fold the flap back and apply some drops

Wash, rinse repeat on the second...

You can still see everything while they're doing it LOL.... Afterwards your vision gets blurry and once those numbing drops wear off :wow:... When they say go sleep it off, there really is no other option because it's a struggle to keep your eyes open.

Hopefully that doesn't scare anyone off, because it was only for a couple hours, but I think the staff kinda sugar coated that immediate recovery.

Pretty much my experience, except when my eyes saw light that first 24 hours I was like

The pain that first day :wow:

I couldn't go outside for a day or two and I kept my crib as dark as possible.

After that initial period, I was like :blessed:

if you go to a decent doctor, touch-ups are covered.

you WILL need reading glasses when you get older; there's no getting around that.

but, you'll see 20/20 or better for years and years and years.

I got it done.
@a murda - if you're from chicago, you might want to consider heading two-hours west to Rock Island, IL.

They got a Lasik doc that is supposedly top 5 in the nation.
He did mine and my wife's.

I had astigmatism, and had been nearsighted for like 20 years. He ended that in like five minutes.

Think it was closer to $4k, but that was for the bladeless option. I know a girl that got the standard blade version, and it was fine. I think it cost her under 3k.

Best decision since HDTV.

2hr drive :merchant:

:ehh: top 5 in nation

:steviej: good look breh :salute:

theres a false sense of "ill get this done, and never have to worry about my eyes again"

when in reality..u wont see as good as u thought u would, ure eyes will get worse as u get older anyhow, ure eyes will be so sensitive u cant wear contacts now at all

just, if u can tolerate ure contacts and glasses, just stay that way and avoid the bullshyt

Got it done in 2007, right before I graduated undergrad (got it on a Wednesday, took my last final on that Friday cuz the bytch wouldn't reschedule)

Best decision I ever made. I love being able to wake up in the morning and just...see:lawd:

My eyesight was very bad, so I couldn't get lasik, I had to get the slightly more expensive prk ($3k)

Coming up on six years and I STILL love this shyt...again I'm glad I got it done nearly as soon as I could.

I heard of people having to go bakk years later to get it done again..and they have to pay for it again. :sadcam:

the only problem im having is that i wear my contacts so much and i doze off in them that im getting swollen corneas. :sadcam:
so its either the surgery or wearing my glasses more.

im having trouble giving up my contacts for glasses and im too p*ssy to do the surgery :sadbron:
